We got one ( a 50ft.) in 1988 on a Pierce Arrow chassis. Used the shit out of it. In 2009, it was taken from service with about 175,000 miles on it. The city bought the next one with a 65ft tower. That truck has been an electrical night mare. Not as rugged truck as the '88.
To be fair, Quint's are better than Telesquirts for a few reasons. The main reason is ladder strength; what they don't tell you in this video is most telesquirts can only handle about 500 lbs or so of weight on their ladders. Most quint's have aerials that can take 1000 lbs or more of stress. Atop that no one makes 75 foot telesquirts anymore, the largest length I can find is Pierce's Skyboom 61 foot. At that point might as well get a quint with a 75 foot aerial and have the extra 14 feet and weight capacity.

Montgomery Alabama Engine 2 and Engine 3 were American LaFrance telesquirts and I believe they still have an E-One squirt operating
Our department uses 2 of the 50 ft versions. Both are very dependable an versatile.
