@@RC-qf3mp how about peanut butter cookie dough, with chocolate fudge on ice cream. With maybe some roasted macadamia nuts We saw the band about a week before the album came out. It was the funniest thing I had ever seen and they were real musicians, they weren't making fun of the music, they were just creating something from it. As I recall for whatever tour Robert Plant was on when this album came out he started playing the music between his opening act and himself.
The best part about this is that it’s not just an Elvis impersonator singing a reggae cover of heartbreaker. It’s an Elvis impersonator singing heartbreak hotel to the tune of a reggae cover of heartbreaker
I was a contestant on Jeopardy about 25 years ago, and correctly got the question, "Who is Dread Zeppelin" ? A few years later, Dread Zeppelin was playing in Henderson, Nevada. I told the story to a guy at the gate. He went and got TortElvis, who asked me to confirm to his wife that DreadZeppelin had indeed been mentioned on Jeopardy. (I got in for free.)
I saw Dread Zeppelin New years eve 2000. When the world was fearful of massive power outages and computer failures that could cause mass chaos. Dread played us into the new year and all was well. In a way they deserve credit for saving the world. Met Tortelvis and Ed after the show and got their autographs. One of my favorite live shows I have ever seen.
I saw Dread Zeppelin live when this album first came out back in 1990. I have never laughed and had so much fun at a concert. Tortelvis was a riot, along with the group mascot, the baby Chadis.
I was sitting at a bar in Tacoma in the 90s and the band played this over the system between sets. I remember thinking WTF is this and why do I like it so much? I bought a CD.... Still one of my favorite bands. Talent.
I saw them live in NYC in 1990, absolutely brilliant band! I always loved The King, but DZ actually helped me appreciate led zep. A really great, really talented band, the attention to detail in the execution of the parody is top-notch.
I worked for a record store in Austin, TX while a student at the University of Texas at Austin from 1987-1991. We used to go see Dread Zeppelin perform several times a year and hang out with them afterwards. I remember well how Tortelvis would sing "Do the claw, do it clambake style" while making the hand gestures for it. Good times!
Yeah, I actually thought this shtick has legs, and it would be fun to hear their treatment on more songs. Though, they need more production value in the videos to either tell the story or hit the humor. Or, just make it more trippy.
The band sounds so cool and Tortelvis has got such a beautiful, powerful, far-reaching voice. I've discovered them just recently - had heard of them before but never had had the chance to listen to them - and now they're in all my playlists. Elvis died, but got a second chance.
I saw these guys perform in Toronto in the 90s and holy cow did we love them. They played their hearts out and were just awesome. We rocked, laughed and had a great time. The best part was when a plastic baby launched off the lead guitarist's guitar and he swung the baby around in circles. What the hell! It was so funny and one of the top five concerts I ever attended.
Still love this video Tort, 30 years later. I was 20 years old, driving a little milk truck for Beatrice Dairy in Thunder Bay, Ontario when this song and video came out. I loved Elvis and Zeppelin and enjoyed some reggae. It was like you had me pegged, and we finally saw you guys at Knuckleheads Saloon in 2011. Twas a great night in KC.
I remember when I first got into Dread around 1990-91. I was a dishwasher at a local restaurant and on break I was listening to this cassette in our break area and the 2nd in command chef came in there and just looked at the boom box like it was the spawn of the devil. He was a huge Led fan and thought it was pure sacrilege XD . Made me wanna turn it up even more LOL.
I heard many zeppelin songs first done by them. It’s funny hearing the original versions then. I saw these guys with Mojo Nixon in Chicago. My God what a concert.
1990 and so many incredible classics were released, Fear of a Black Planet, Ragged Glory, Ritual de lo Habitual, Shake Your Money Maker, Pills n Thrills n Bellyaches, Songs for Drella, Seasons in the Abyss...yet Un-led-ed was the album I listened to most. It just worked for every single occasion. It still sounds as fresh.
Saw them in college, maybe 1991ish in charlotte, nc at a club uptown called “something” elevator? Haha charlotte has changed sooo much. Same space is probably a high rise now. Their fist album is a must for any zeppelin fan. Every one in that generation “knew” Elvis, so the combination was just pure magic for a fun night out.
Saw them live at the Masquerade in Atlanta. That huge old building's wooden floor was heaving up and down. Felt like we were going to pull it all down around us. Bass was huge.
+Trish Lahey Yeah, I wore out my Dread Zeppelin cassette. Great melding of styles. By the way, if you like this sort of thing you may want to listen to Metalachi. As the name implies, they are a mariachi band which plays heavy metal songs.
Stop it horndog alex... Down boy. But got the cds for radio and played them whenever . Just a great band live. They do music for all occasions. Do... or see them.

First Dread Zeppelin song I ever heard. Actually played on the radio while Yolanda was dispatching complaints for me at the Augusta Chronicle circulation department in 1990. Now I am a big fan. An Elvis Impersonator imitates Led Zeppelin songs with a Reggae rock group. What could be wrong about that?
The only time I ever remember seeing Dread Zeppelin was on Beavis and Butthead back in the day. It just randomly popped into my head today for some reason
Love this band.. I saw these guys in '89/'90 in a park in Greeley, Colorado and holy s**t they ROCKED! Everybody sort of went to the show because it was free but by the end the crowd had tripled and people were going crazy. Great band. I wonder if they're still around?
Elvis singing Zeppelin in reggae. This just moved up top of my list really fast. This song has some serious groove.
If you listen closely, you realize just how talented the singer and musicians really are.
Exactly. This is like chocolate and peanut butter. On ice cream.

David Gzesh great story
That’s a cool story and what’s even cooler is I live in Henderson NV. Where did they play? Sunset Station?
NES 83’ Outdoors at Sunset, back when a guy named Dan Marrendo (?) was running Sunset and believed in booking music acts all summer.
How did you do on Jeopardy. Saw them in Passaic New Jersey in 91. Fun show.
DUDE. That is AWESOME.
How could any sane person give this masterpiece a thumbs down????!!!
Richard West cuz they like the original better maybe
No shit !!!!

I'm 60 and remember this well
The world was a better place......
62, and yes, it was.
61 remember seeing them in a small club when they first toured. Great time for indie bands
I think this is the greatest thing I've ever heard in my life. Only discovered dread Zeppelin 2 days ago.
Better late than never 😌 ❤.

So glad others have the understanding of what is and what should always be, evolution and creation of music!
Had the pleasure of catching Dread Zep live on the lawn in front of the Seattle courthouse in early 90s. Was not disappointed lol. Man i miss the 90s
saw them in Philly at the Chestnut Cabaret in 1989. At their height. Never forgot it.
What a fantastic fun band! Tortelvis always makes me laugh 😂 and every guy in the band plays amazing!!! Long live Dread Zeppelin!!!
tortelvis pulling out his karate moves was always the best
drunken mailman driving drunk .. sweves on the curves
I fell for these guys years ago...great band plus the production quality is also very underrated!
And Zeppelin
I saw Dread Zeppelin live when this album first came out back in 1990. I have never laughed and had so much fun at a concert. Tortelvis was a riot, along with the group mascot, the baby Chadis.
Same here bro .👊
I bought this album back in 1993. I still play it today.
What year did this album get released 🍒👍I was born on 12/2/1993 and 2 of my grandparents
I can’t appreciate the level of talent it takes to make something this stupid sound so good.
Had the pleasure of seeing Dread Zep early 90s on the lawn in front of Seattle courthouse. Great show, i miss the 90s
Maybe the most underrated band I’ve ever heard.
Completey agree. Seen 3x.
Brilliant!!!! Absolute genius! Both the video, the costumes, the inventiveness, the personalities and the fabulous sound!!!!
AND he can sing like a bird.
I was sitting at a bar in Tacoma in the 90s and the band played this over the system between sets. I remember thinking WTF is this and why do I like it so much? I bought a CD.... Still one of my favorite bands. Talent.
I paid for a ticket to see them live....thought it was a joke.....brilliant gig. Led....Elvis ...Ragae and sunglasses. Brilliant
@@jeromelambe2449 I am officially envious.
I've never forgotten these guys! Saw them once sometime around 89-92. Great band. A lot of fun!!!
One of the most audibly and visually creative works of art in history...amazing!

haven't heard this for YEARS ! BRILLIANT blast from the past 👍
This band rocks !!! Elvis and zeppelin together is pure brilliance & they pull it off so we'll & they are funny too !!!
Saw 'em live in Montreal back in the '90s. Brilliant. Best show ever.
Canadia Jam 👍

Outside of the general goofiness, there's great talent behind this arrangement. Elvis and Plant approved.
...and general goofiness is what rock'n'roll was suppose to be about.
Frankincensed it’s real

Elvis approved? How?
@michael matthews plus ANYBODY ALIVE can sing better than dead Elvis now, sad to say.
Saw them at Slim’s in San Francisco. Approximately 15 years after seeing zeppelin at Madison square garden. Single. Skinny. Life was perfect
A Led Zep tribute band with an Elvis impersonator. What's not to like? Used to play these guys a lot when I had a weekly radio show a while back.
Let's not forget, all that and with a Reggae twist! 🙂
I once had a wonderful life. A good job, beautiful wife and kids. Once I watched this video I lost it all. Worth it. Elvis is my idol.
The band sounds so cool and Tortelvis has got such a beautiful, powerful, far-reaching voice. I've discovered them just recently - had heard of them before but never had had the chance to listen to them - and now they're in all my playlists. Elvis died, but got a second chance.

Best dread zeppelin song/video combo...heartbreaker 😎👍🍒
Tight music. Hilarious innovative. Doin' what they love and Tortelvis might be the funniest name in rock.
I first saw the phenomenon that is Dread Zepplin on the long defunct BBC ‘The Last Resort’ with Johnathan Ross and have been hooked ever since!
Best version of this song I ever heard!
I was alone on my first acid trip when I saw this on late nite MTV...classic damn good music then and now!!!
I heard many zeppelin songs first done by them. It’s funny hearing the original versions then. I saw these guys with Mojo Nixon in Chicago. My God what a concert.
