That's exactly how I clean all things around my home. Even rusty nuts and bolts. I just let things sit out in the sun soaking in the oven cleaner on a newspaper. So far I have never had to let anything sit over night. Fingers crossed. Had to hit edit and say, I love the fact that you are thorough. I too have OCD. lol
First let me say I've watched other videos of people cleaning the splatter screen. I cannot believe how they let the screen and other areas of the Foodi get in the conditions they're in. Of course you have to clean it after cooking every meal! IT'S A NO BRAINER! Would you let your oven or other appliances get in that condition? HELL NO! I'm going to be honest with you. Your video was the most useful and helpful. The others used methods that was so time consuming. I'd rather let the screen soak in a bag for 24 hours then stand over it for however long the other videos lasted. I have saved your video in my bookmarks and plan to watch it again when I finally purchase my Foodi. Thank you again for well watched video!
I just noticed this screen today! I just threw it in the dishwasher 😂 later went and looked at directions to see if it was dishwasher safe. Thanks for video. I'll keep it in mind.👍
thank you for posting, this is exactly what I am dealing with! I have the worst room mate in the world (my 12 year old - lol) and he uses this Foodi daily and forget the idea that it will be cleaned!
Oh my god this worked great and it also worked great on tbe pans on my electic stove. Thanks so much was trying ro figure out a way ro clean that grate better
Seems to work really well though I couldn't hear everything. The audio kept going out for a short while then coming back, then dropping out again.... But I was able follow along your demonstration and will give it a shot with my two splatter screens. Thanks
I would think so since it’s a grease cutting agent, but I’m not sure of the manufacturers recommendation for using it on the air fryer basket. I have not tried it on that specifically, only on the screens. I usually soak the air fryer basket when it’s caked on in very hot water and dish soap. Then I scrub clean with a scratch free scrubber. Good luck!
I still like to use the easy off but I spray a cloth first and dab it onto the upper part, let it sit a while then scrub off with a green scrubbie. . A little more work but not too bad at all.
Well you can spot spray or apply on a rag/cloth and let it sit and then scrub down with an old toothbrush and wipe away. Hope you have luck with cleaning your ninja! :)
Go to Sam's club and use the commercial oven grill and fryer cleaner put in zip lock bag spray and close put in bucket of hot water it will clean in 20 min like new.
I bet if you have a portable steamer you wouldn’t even have to scrub it after it sits 24 hours with that stuff on it. I bet you can just put it in the sink and spray it with us with the steamer and it everything should run right off if you don’t scratch it up and be easier to clean continuously probably but maybe that stuff doesn’t scratch it anyway.
My husband accidentally grilled some burgers without the screen on. Is my ninja ruined? The house was all smoked up thought the thing was going to blow
Oh no! I hope not, you could always try to reach out to Ninja Customer Service and see what they recommend. If it were me, I would probably take it outside, plug it in and run it on the highest heat to burn off any grease until it no longer produces smoke then put the splatter screen back on. Best of luck to you though… 🤞🏻
You had the best idea, regarding putting it in a ziplock.. I do have a mild criticism, that's not "this video", but "every video" on cleaning your Foodi Grill... Have we really come to such a level in our lives, where people think they need to show us how to actually "scrub" and where to clean?? God save us! I would HOPE that by the time we reach an age of tying our own shoes and keeping up with our own bills, that we would know how to actually go through the basics of "cleaning" something... I thought I would be watching, "up front prevention", and/or ideas of strategies and products necessary to make the breakdown of grease deposits easier to clean... Not an actual guide on how to tie my shoes.... :) Again, not just your video, it seems every video thought it was important to show people how to clean behind their ears.... It felt intellectually damaging.
Lol I agree but you know we live in a world where not everyone is raised the same, lack of guidance, or know how to do things on their own once on their own. Others “know it all” and insist this doesn’t work. So I can’t win either way lol but I know it’s the chance I take posting videos online. Open for the world to see and all the criticism that comes along with it! But I totally get your comment, and appreciate your polite (and funny) 😉 feedback. Made me giggle 🤭 thanks for writing!
Not hardly sparkling clean!! Significant food crumbs left. Also while we were cut off,how long til you scrub? The rinsing was also significant amount time as well as water.

I can’t believe how well and quickly this worked. I only had it in the baggie for 4 hours and it’s like brand new. Thanks, Girlardee!

Great Informative Video👍
Thank You
Will this work with the baskets? I'm tired of seeing the stuck-on grease on my air fryer basket and bucket.

Soak in hot water with half a cup of cleaning vinegar and you will get an even better effect.
Tu for sharing! How do u clean the upper part?

Hi there! It goes back the same way you take it out. I realize I didn’t show it but it’s very easy to do. Thanks for watching 😃
Como colocar as peças limpas na erfray

Go to Sam's club and use the commercial oven grill and fryer cleaner put in zip lock bag spray and close put in bucket of hot water it will clean in 20 min like new.
I put mine in the dishwasher and they come out like new.

Why not just spray it first then put it in the plastic bag?
You had the best idea, regarding putting it in a ziplock..
