I’m watching these gr videos like I own the car already 😂😂😂
Bro I bought it before watching all these 😅😢
@@SrdraG12 Same here LMAO!!
Same. I want it so bad I just have to wait 2 more years of college
I probably should have lol
Literally same
Is there any way of removing the auto off in 1 hour pop up option every time we turn the car on ?
The left and right arrows when not changing the menus take you to another page. You cam make 3 different pages for 3 different drive modes possibly
Lol I've had this car for 6 months and didn't know that. I was wondering how come some people had views that weren't available to me. It actually took me a while to figure out that you can access more settings by switching the middle view to "settings". It came with the forward collision warning set to the highest sensitivity and was driving me crazy.
I definitely learned a thing or two thanks.
I didn't read "keep rpm under 4500" in the manual regarding break-in. Opposed to this, if says to not drive at low rpms for extended periods.
idk why there's a lot of misconception around engine break in. I thought of redline as like 5,000 and never got passed it, but I still drove the card spiritually time to time, but never bounced it off the redlimiter until it was passed 1500 miles.
Either way it doesn't really accelerate as well after 5k so no reason to go passed it.
I recommend keeping it under 5k rpm for the first 600 miles. Vary your speed and give it some gas ever now and again. Should seat the seals perfectly
Top left button on steering wheel will stop that warm up warning message and returns screen to normal functions. 🇦🇺❤️
If you hold the traction control button down for 15 seconds, it turns off all driving aids
Is there any way to get system information that's usually on the cluster to appear on the main screen in the center?
My gr4 Yaris rally doesn’t have the gear number on bash . It’s very much needed because once on the move at speed the engine in quiet and I get caught all the time . 👍🇦🇺❤️
I got this car a few a weeks ago any way to get rid of the pop up asking for the car to turn off after an hour if not driven?
Hey I just got mine 2 days ago! Where's the break in section in the manual if anyone knows?
I was under the impression that couldn't go over 4k rpm for the first 1500 miles
May I ask which language types are available for selection
Loving my f1 tach in sport mode 😈
Yes
press and hold the traction control button(sport mode) till expert light shut off , give you more freedom but still theres no ways to shut off 100% the safety electronics
So Expert on the dash is Confusing .. off was what I mentioned
I have to read that again but i swear the manual says that expert mode shuts off all safety and vsc but disabling expert lets vsc remain engaged. Maybe the ecu is programmed backwards too I wouldn’t doubt it.
thx so much o/
are you finding that the screen with TMPS doesnt stay static after you restart the car?
Same here. Reading through some forums, it seems to be an issue; the TMPS doesn't stay.
I just wish that LDA would be disabled by default like in the normal hatch, it’s annoying to keep turning it off manually every time, if anyone knows how to change its default settings so it will always default to Off, I’d love to be informed 👌🏼
P.S. thanks for the video, I did not know about the expert mode
Hey there! I'm able to disable the LDA in the settings menu. For me it stays off by default, now.
@@KewlKat That’s awesome! Can you outline the steps you did? I haven’t been successful at getting it to stay off by default.
Go into settings and LDA hold OK and you can disable it.
@@Jeyxero
@@rhodycars6058 that works but it is reset back to On every time I turn the car off. I’ve read that some people have gotten it to work with their car profiles but I haven’t successful with that either 😆
Im just ready to see some exhausts
SAME
I've noticed personally the "avoid excessive acceleration" goes off based on outside temp so far in around 72-80 degree weather it's around 140 and the other day 43 outside it went off at 160 so 🤷♂️
Yeah it goes by ambient temp outside the car, going in the gas station and getting back in and starting the car it says it again even at engine temps +180
I have seen mine be a combination of the oil and coolant temp. Also; it may go by time of a certain temp and greater than another temp. Seen as low as 175 oil temp and 175 coolant. I believe; could be wrong.
anyone else with a grc have any random issues with the media display going out every now and then?
If you mean CarPlay disconnecting randomly and turning off the display then I believe it’s a bug related to the iPhone’s firmware, not the car’s fault per se
@@Jeyxero Never happened with my iPhone.
@@jimsgaragetoys it mainly depends on which iPhone model and which iOS version you’re running so it doesn’t really happen exactly to everyone, but it did happen to me on iOS 16 once or twice, not anymore on 17 though
cool display, but still prefer analog tach and speedo. Wish we have GR Yaris here.
The circuit exceeds 150mph
I promise
I Hate that display! I've heard that it was the reason the GR Corolla Hatchback was delayed almost 2 years for the release!!!
? Nothing is wrong with it, mine works great
@@mark_845 Toyota delayed the release of the GR Corolla. Originally It was supposed to be released in summer 2020. Toyota wanted a different display from the GR Yaris and wider track than the engineers had on their first 'final design'... Digital displays also damage your eyes and cause vision problems...
@@lamesamelame I understand that they delayed it, but it’s a pretty function display and it’s high resolution. It works fine and no, it doesn’t damage your vision as long as you aren’t blasting it into your eye at high brightness at night
@@mark_845 you obviously don't read research studies.
I'm with ya. I won't go so far to say I hate it, but digital dashes look chintzy and I prefer the more timeless look of quality analog gauges. Plus, WAY too many buttons on the steering wheel, all because of the stupid displays.
