I built this as kit when it was released by ESCI (kit 4038) in 1979 as a Canadair CL-13 mk. IV Sabre.. Basic but it fit well and looked great on the shelf.
Yep, it's the 1979 Esci kit and it appears to be exactly what we should expect. There is a 1983 Esci boxing still about on ebay, with 2 colourful Italian markings. The 'officially licensed by' things common nowadays are just a scam by the big boys to grab a share of the money.

@@neilhughes9310 I would probably go with that esci release and get a decal sheet. If the price was reasonable.
