Literally when travelling past taxi stands near uptown in Cagayan de Oro someone yelled... I LOVE YOU! So my friend Taylor "Tala" shouted it back! Oh and she probably blew about 100 kisses throughout this first ever top-loading adventure in Cagayan de Oro! So I think it is safe to say that my Canadian friend definitely found love!!! AYUS!
This was a new experience for me and a first experience for Taylor!
We went top-loading all the way from Mambuaya (the Talakag - CdO route) to downtown Carmen market! I also learned something today... Once you get into the main part of the city you are supposed to get off the roof and back into the Jeepney! We didn't know this, so please make sure if you end up on this Jeepney route to do so!
Everyone in Cagayan de Oro was incredibly inspiring during our ride!! No wonder they call this place "The City Of Golden Friendship!"

In the US and Canada you ride a top down, in PH you ride on top up.
You two had so much fun riding on top of the jeepney , just very careful cause sometimes roads are bumpy. I've done that before in my younger year's with my high school friends.. But here in America we won't be able to do.Jeepney driver's in Philippines don't speed 70 miles per hour here in United States we all drive to the speed limit in the freeway to 75 miles per hour. We also do this in Samar. From Qinabut-an Cold Spring in Paranas to Catbalogan City. We're always at the top of the jeep on our way home. wew! the feels! ASTIG!

I am from Eastern Visayas region, some municipalities they don't allow top loading of people or even goods, specifically if the jeepney is going to the city. know the road policy next time.

I rode on top of a Jeepney when I lived in Catbalogan Samar. Sometimes it rained hard. Got soaked to the bone, but it was a pretty cool experience.
