I worked as a valetor in a main deales for a while. I loved when the salesmen brought some Mankey old dirtbox into me. The satisfaction you feel getting them all cleaned up is amazing. And the look of admiration you get from the sales guys is worth all the effort. Great job lads.👍
Hi guys I'm a ply liner by trade. Chris has done an exceptionally good job, I just wished some people would take the time to strip out and clean up the vehicle like yourselves, some of vans I've done have been health hazards. Good work.
That was an absolutely incredible transformation, well done. You really wouldn't believe it is the same van. Incredible work on the interior and the ply wood in the back looks simply brilliant. You've done a fantastic job and it was really interesting to see the result. When the weather is nice again next year I'm gonna be brave and take the front seats out of my car and give them a really good wash.
I've already watched this but for some reason I can't help myself watching it again because the end results are amazing also good for the new subscribers
Great work gentlemen. Chris’s perfection is great. It is the small details that make the difference. Well done. Do well with it. Thank you for sharing.
it is great to see the enjoyment you two get from transforming vehicles like this from paupers to princes ! hard work but look at the results -- the rear of the van is a real credit to Chris
You should both get a huge amount of satisfaction from the work you did on that vehicle. While it is not an ancient craft as such, Chris's work on those door liners was a demonstration of skill and his understanding of what was needed. The result shows what determination, skills and cleaning can achieve. It is never can be the best van on the lot, it has had too hard a previous life for that, but it is certainly a good clean van for the customer who requires a working tool to help their business get the job done.
An unbelievable result guys, nothing like a bit of elbow grease, g101 etc and of course Chris s amazing skills what a turn around. Take Care Stay Safe Everyone Regards Dave 👍😎🏴
Apparently someone once said "You can`t polish a turd"🙄 ....... Amazing what you can do when you put in a bit, or in this case, a lot of effort. A very impressive transformation, top job fella`s ! 👍👍👍
60+ years ago tar removal was accomplished with kerosene, diesel or gasoline on vehicle exteriors while Ronson lighter fluid was used on the interior, all with a lovely post cleaning fragrance. How times have changed. Narragansett Bay
You & Chris pulled out all the stops here. You put some serious graft into this Crafter refurb & you both deserve every penny you make from it. Great work.
Absolutely brilliant. First I’m disappointed you can’t be my mechanic, now I’m disappointed you can’t be my car detailer. Never thought it would come up as clean as it did. You and Chris are magicians.
Another fine video gents! What a transformation. My only suggestion would be a rubber mat over the plywood floor (would reduce some noise), but a minor point. Keep the videos coming, the longer the better!
Sometimes a change is as good as a rest Rob. And you two have made a change to that grotty van. Hard work and dedication always get you to a good result. Crackin' Job. Bob ( Somerset)
Have you heard of drill brushes which greatly speed up scrubbing car seats or carpets ( they just attach to your cordless drill), also keeping some old carpet for throwing down on the floor of vehicles when you're getting in and out will save you mucking up the clean floor you worked so hard to create.Stonking job on the Crafter!
Rob, you said: “it’s hard to believe they’re the same seats”..! Yes you’re dead right Rob, I can’t believe it!! You’re a flipping magician doing those seats! Sincere compliments to Chris, he is a real craftsman. Live long and prosper boys! 🙏
Made me lol around 🤣😂 when Rob said "here he is, in his element" Chris said "hmmm dunno about that" 😆 Classic stuff guys, lmfao 😂 Love you guys! What a cracking job 🤘
Phenomenal is only word I can think of to describe what Chris and yourself has achieved with this van. I would also agree with your comment Rob, there really seems not only to be nothing Chris can't do, but also he does everything extremely well. Well done guys 👍
For tar, paint, etc, that's gotten into carpet, headliner, buy a pack of disposable razors, and rub over stubborn spots. You can use with chemicals, but it works if you just use a razor.
For the seats and upholstery .. a set of drill brushes from amazon do great .. just spray chemical on and agitate and pulls the dirt right out .. keep up the great projects
Rob they are both german lol ... VW sprinter sounds like a new name for it ... Chris is always cracking on as Rob always surprises us win new cars content on his buying adventure ... one day he will get lost on the way to or back home lol... another top video from the dream team Chris & Rob always bringing the best salvage / car content .. thankyou guys
Had a nightmare with TH-cam not being able to comment for years.. Anyway, Rob and Chris, been watching for years. Absolutely brilliant the pair of you. Just couldn’t tell you before today !!! Got a tip for you lads, done this myself and it’s a winner. Stained horrible ply lining in the back of a van or on a flatbed? Answer - give it a couple coats of grey water based paint. Superdec works well, any fence paint in light grey works well also. It’s really transforms faded and stained ply quickly and easily. Hopefully this comment loads, if it does I can express joy at a few other I follow on TH-cam.
My heart sank when you showed the interior of this van, I genuinely did not think you and Chris couldn't turn this one around and get it spotless clean, how wrong I was, well done guy's
For surfaces like the doors use kerosene to remove the tar instead of an expensive proprietary tar remover, which, truth be known is likely to be made from a similar solvent to kero. A wipe over with a G101 cloth will then remove the kero.
You pressure wash seats quite often which is a great idea, but drying is a pain so why not buy and a cheap greenhouse and install somewhere in your yard? They superheat when sun is on them and would aid drying out seats.
Well done you two. I reckon a dehumidifier shut in the back of that van with the seats would dry them in no time. I used to clean Land rovers like that and they could be bad.
I've watched your channel for quite sometime now and it blows my mind how you both can turn your hands to anything regardless of what needs doing. Keep it up lads with your positive attitudes to everything you do. 👍
Well I don't no what to say, what an amazing job you both have done,a lot of people wouldn't of tackled that van,so it just goes to show how much effort you 2 put in to each project 👏👍Well done to you both
What a difference... That back veneer floor deserves a ribbed or penny rubber roll matting. You could have used a film plywood veneer like UPM Wisa-Multifoor plywood which is meant to be used as van or lorry box flooring, it might be more expensive but ...
Hi Rob, Chris Can you reccomend a glass cleaner that won't leave streaks etc One thing that bugs me is marks on the inside of the windscreen (where somebody has wiped the back of their hand etc) Excellent vid by the way, your both obviously not frit of a bit 'o hard work! Up North we have a saying, 'where's there's muck...there's brass' that van perfectly illustrates the point,.. The regular guy didn't want know, and the firm's guy who job it is to dispose of unwanted fleet vehicles wants an easy life, and will remember that. Regards Chris
Excellent job, guys! Speaking for myself, all your videos are really enjoyable. I feel like I am right there. Can't wait for the numbers on this one. Hold out for a really good price, for all that hard work. You deserve it!
Absolutely fantastic finish on that van 👏, seen it first time around but was great watching again you guys do great jobs sad chris you never fail to amaze, keep the great content coming guys
Never used to watch you back here, but your videos seem to have come on a long way since, i think they are put together a lot better now, keep up the good work Rob and Chris looking forward to tonights video 👍🏻
if i was the company that sold this van in the first place i would be phoning you back to try to rebuy it back off you...what a result. absolutely smashing job. well done :)
funny thing is most of the regulars on the channel probably would just sit back and watch you two wash seats or cut hardboard and talk to us and each other, no timelapse, no cuts lol
I am shock for several reasons, 1 How clean you both have got this. and more importantly ...... Surely this has to be a huge contender to become Chris's campervan.
I worked as a valetor in a main deales for a while. I loved when the salesmen brought some Mankey old dirtbox into me. The satisfaction you feel getting them all cleaned up is amazing. And the look of admiration you get from the sales guys is worth all the effort. Great job lads.👍
Some dealership cleaners shouldn’t be let anywhere near cars haha. Did you ever see such a thing?
Chris is so talented. What an asset he undoubtedly is.

Fantastic job by both Chris and yourself here, Rob! As a driver of a Crafter myself, this was an absolute joy to see. Awesome stuff! 👍

Absolutely brilliant. First I’m disappointed you can’t be my mechanic, now I’m disappointed you can’t be my car detailer. Never thought it would come up as clean as it did. You and Chris are magicians.

Miracle workers, you would not believe it is the same van!! you both deserve every £ you make. 👍😁😍
Wonderful transformation. One of the best jobs so far.
Nice Job Chris and Rob!!! I wish we had these vans here in the USA!! Keep up the great work guys

Had a nightmare with TH-cam not being able to comment for years..

Top job, what a turn around that is a very presentable van, and it will fly out the door, it is is great order for the miles. Superb again guys.

The sliding door catch is easy to fix just a little spring catch , mine never stayed open either
Unbelievable transformation
Lovely job Rob and Chris
What a transformation brilliant job hat's off to both of you 👍👍👍
Well done you two. I reckon a dehumidifier shut in the back of that van with the seats would dry them in no time. I used to clean Land rovers like that and they could be bad.
What a great job 👍👍👍 Testament to the VW quality as well 🥸
Would have been nice to ply the ceiling in the back to match and to put a weather proof rubber mat down. What a transformation though cracking job.
I've watched your channel for quite sometime now and it blows my mind how you both can turn your hands to anything regardless of what needs doing. Keep it up lads with your positive attitudes to everything you do. 👍
