- The Chicago White Sox defeated the Minnesota Twins in a final score of 6-2 at Target Field on July 15, 2022.
After a deafening win last night, the White Sox took down the Twins in the second game of their series in Minnesota.
Starting pitcher Michael Kopech pitched 5.0 innings and earned the win. Kopech held the Twins to two runs as the Sox offense battled the Twins’ pitching staff.
Andrew Vaughn had the first break through of the night, driving in two runs on a ground ball to left field in the 1st inning. The Twins tied the score in the 2nd inning, 2-2.
In the 4th inning, Tim Anderson hit his 6th home run of the season on a fly ball to center field. The run put the Sox in the lead, keeping it through the end of the game.
Tim Anderson did more than hit hard tonight, he also made a dominating defensive play in the 5th inning. Tim Anderson jumped to snag, what would have been a base hit, out of the air to record the second out of the inning.
Adam Engel added on insurance for the Sox in the 7th inning, hitting a fly ball into left center field and scoring a 3-run homer.
The bullpen pitched 4.0 scoreless innings to secure the White Sox victory. Joe Kelly, Reynaldo López, Kendall Graveman and Liam Hendriks had dominant performances with only two hits allowed.

They definitely tried to beat themselves. Robert misjudging a ball again in the outfield. Tim Anderson making multiple fielding errors. Difference is they are hitting the ball out of the ball park.
