Dirt Rally sounds good for sure, but I think the interior sounds of Driveclub are closer to the real thing.

i think driveclub has a very good sound for the lower end more muffled cars especially in interior view, but the high end ones like the f50 with their crazy v12s dont really have the sweet high note they should even in exterior views and replays..too much low rumble not enough high end high revving craziness
I love how they simulated different levels of sound insulations in cars.
+unitoone They're very good at simulating the sound based on position of the camera. GT6 is actually great at that too but I think they both could do better with exaust sounds. Something about their exhausts just don't sound right.

They recorded the engine sounds going slightly above the rev limiter and gt6 goes slightly above the vacuum cleaner limiter.

I advise you to turn up the volume for a more detailed sound.
Shirrako just to let everybody know the game itself is Very quiet... Some cars are annoyingly quiet... But there is nothing else you can you about it..

I swear, despite all the times GT and Forza claim to do so, Driveclub is the only game I've played that actually sounds like it's using real sound samples.
LMAO, you're absolutely deaf! This is probably the worst sounding game, worse than Gran Turismo! Forza Motorsport and NFS Heat have the most realistic sounds by far. Forza Horizon games suck, the sound is terrible.

Great list! TBH, I actually enjoy Driveclub more than rocket league (yes, remember me from last 10 list?) Drivecub to me is like the most perfect racing game for me, the sounds, the graphics, it's perfect! Worst side: I don't have a PS4 or a capture card .-. Anyways, great video!

So difficult to choose a top 10 out of Driveclubs amazing audio roster,for me i think the gts amg beats the sl 65 and while the Renualt Alpine is initially very impressive it just sounds horrible once it gets on a long straight and limits out( try doing a week long challenge series in that Alpine,it'll soon drop down your list :) )
I think the F40 is my top spot,an aggressive powerful sound that doesn't get too whiney or annoying,i love it!

BETTER THAN ADRENALINE SHOTS
NFS wins in the car, especially engine sound department. The 2015 releases even beat current Forza and GTSport entries. It’s slightly maddening to still being served this synthetic humming and growling that is supposed to be the engine revs in most other games. Unlike graphics, sound design in racing games does sadly not progress with increasing technology but seems to be dependent on how talented the sound engineers were and if a car was even available for recording in the first place.

The huayra is pretty off, has the dominant frequencies of a v8 on acceleration.
thats because thats how the AMG V12 sounds, it has a specific growl with you can find in AMG engines normally
they should add bugatti veyron,chiron and eb110,ford?mazda furai and/or any other mazda and also add the option to race against your own manufacture
