  • Mitchell discusses Asterospicularia, a rare and unusual soft coral that we farm at New Dawn Aquaculture.
This coral is not commonly seen in the reef aquarium hobby. You can find more information about this coral on our website here: ndaquaculture....

Just picked up a beautiful colony of Asterospicularia from Mitchell a few days ago ,and it has settled in very well. It opened up almost immediately ,and hasn't looked back since. I also picked up several other soft corals ,and they are all doing fantastic. Hats off to Mitchell for putting together such informative content , and he has an incredible variety of corals for all levels of reefers. Well worth a closer look for anyone in the hobby.

How fast does it grow? How much does it cost to ship it to Vancouver?

It depends on your tank conditions, we find corals grow at different rates in different tanks depending on the water chemistry. But, overall it's a faster growing coral. In terms of shipping, it's calculated at checkout and is determined by your address and the weight of the whole order. I just checked the shipping rates on other orders we've sent to Vancouver and they were all in-between $34-$39 for overnight livestock shipping. Shipping is also free on any order over $300.

@@NDAquaculture Thanks! I do plan to get one of those for sure! Also, do you ship to more door or will I have to go and pick it up myself?
