This limited one-time pressing will be available as 3LP and 2CD editions, carefully remastered from the original sources by Jason Mitchell at Loud Mastering and overseen by Tom Jenkinson. Never entirely satisfied with the sound of the original release, Tom has taken the opportunity to bring out fresh dynamics and detail in the tracks.
Bonus album Venus No.17 Maximised is compiled from material originally released as part of the Ultravisitor promo EP, the Square Window 3” CD (a free bonus disc given out with WarpMart pre-orders of the Ultravisitor album) and the Venus No.17 EP. The accompanying booklet contains photographs, posters and recording documentation from Tom’s archive.

I remember being 10 years old, doing math homework, and eating chocolate my grandfather would get me while listening to this. Im 28 now. Wow how times flies.
I remember a weirdly peaceful time months after breaking up with her to go to college and realizing everything was going to be OK. I was 18 then, you do the math :)
Same thing. A few years older in highschool having far too much hope for what was in store in the next few years and listening to this one the multi-hour ride home.

I love all Squarepusher but "Tetra-Sync" track from this album is just mind blowing.
For me, it is the apogee of his craft. All of his electronic wizardry, all of his bass skill, packed into an electroacoustic epic that stretches the very fabric of sound. Mental.
Agreed. I've been listening to this a lot recently after picking up the CD second hand after losing mine years ago. So wonderful to return to such an immense record.

Such a beautiful piece, part of an incredible album that transformed my sense of what is possible in the realm of directly conveying information and ideas full of emotive significance. Listening to this today made me feel nostalgic for 9th grade, which is weird because I never listened to this until much later. The explanation? It reminds me of "Prelude" and "Kiara" by Bonobo, which I listened to a lot in that year and found very memorable. I think there's something similar about the timbres and harmonies of this song compared to those, and it gives me a similar feeling
