For many years, the No. 17 acid mix was one of my favourite reference tracks for testing audio gear. I never imagined it would be remastered because I thought it was perfect as it was!

I haven't gone back to listen to these tunes since I first got into Squarepusher in the 2000's. I get a feeling of nostalgia listening to them now. Fantastic stuff! I don't particularly recall what the mixing was like on the original, but the remastered FLAC that I got from Amazon sounds great. Thanks for another great release, Squarepusher for life!!
The ReMaster is great! It really brings out the subtle nuances in wondrous clarity and the depth in resounding presence. It’s amazing! Thank you for your music. I’m a fan for life! Been listening to you since 2000. Keep it up. Your work is amazing!
I already have most of the tracks from CD2 on CD (having the Ultravisitor promo EP and the Square Window 3” CD), but i'll still definitely get that remastered version. Can't wait to see the improvements it brings… 😊
Not sure about the mastering. After 2 tracks I just got this overwhelming feeling of discomfort and too much artificial fuzz. Glad I've still got all my old squarepusher vinyl.
Yeah UV isn't as bad but this definitely sounds like some aliasing is happening w/a distortion plug or the limiter. If it were me I would ask for a repass using Weiss or Junger at the end and reupload the digital files.
