my 2009 has a habit of starting once in awhile just by turning the key to On, and not all the way over to start. It also sometimes makes a grind noise in park or neutral, but the sound goes away if in drive or reverse. Is that a switch issue or a starter issue, or the transmission?
Dear mecanic I've been struggling into why fuse "DSL" 125. (Pink coloured one ) keeps blowing up on my car when i start up the car !!! . (this is my 3th fuse blown) I do not notice any malfunctions on the car while the fuse is blown, car works and rides just fine! .. I have a sante fe 2009 diesel 2.2 Any suggestions would be very welcomed

My Santa fe 2011 just make sometimes one click or 2 then start fine, I told the mechanic maybe the starter so he charge me $450.00 to replace the starter(he say have to take all the motor off so he can change it) anyways at the end he say was not it..may needs a Electric check...I have no more money until next month(I'm retired)....can u give me an Idea please...thanks

I have a hyundai santafe 2009. Sometimes doesn't start because the system doesn't recognize one of the back doors is open or close, I should lock and unlock doors many times to get the car go. is any fuse I can disable that?
Have a 2015 Santa Fe, no problems, go out this morning, no crank, was really cold. Have power at the fuse under dash. My relay looks slightly different than yours, not sure which legs to jump.
I put new ignition in and got power , but when try to start it clicks like dead battery so I charge battery and same thing , clicks,, now no power at all again in. ????¿

So ours started after we used pliers to connect the two leads, and after that started up with the fuse in, for today anyway. It seems like it’s done this when it gets cold out, any idea what the issue is? Do we need a new fuse maybe?
Probably your neutral safety switch then. My g/f's car has intermittent starting issues, but it doesn't start in neutral either, nor does swapping the starter relay.
@@joerevere937 We had the starter replaced. It was a bad connection / solenoid. I think starter was replaced at 120k miles. It has about 300k on it now.

Same problem here. But I had the starter replaced… and the problem came back a couple of months later

So I tried removing the relay and pushed them in together and nothing
In my case it was the starter. Knock on it afew times with a hammer and it might start up.

hi. what if there's no starter action even after connecting the pins together? totally no click or turning of the starter
Could be a broken cable. I'd jump the battery connector on the starter (+)
