This pretty much confirms that district was suppose to be the new map, but they pushed it back and gave us broken moon rework. That's why they didnt release this trailer, since the map is completely diffrent. Makes me wonder now if broken moon rework will tie into next seasons story?
I doubt it, they probably improvised the broken moon changes on the fly after the new map was pushed back
And regarding Alter, she likes chaos. She doesnt like rules, that's why in her trailer we see her in a completely broken world at the end. And the person that broke that world? Horizon. Every time horizon tries to go back to her son, a world gets destroyed. That's why Alter is such a horizon fan, to her, horizon keeps on giving Alter more broken worlds to Explore.
So she came to our horizon to help her build the time machine so she can go back in time and in the end destroy the world
Yes, and Horizon is going to have the ultimate tragic story - she cannot go back, ever, or she'll destroy the world.
ETA: Also I love your analysis that she's a fan of hers. It explains why Alter is so polite and formal with her, unlike literally everyone else. She literally always calls her Dr.
@@leemiller29 as i said, horizon is feeding Alter the broken worlds so if there is one person Alter respects and admires, its horizon, because she is the only other person that Has broken the worlds more times than her. Every broken reality is horizon's fault and Alter, being full about chaos, loves it and wants more
That's literally what I had in mind after reading her bio. UNLESS if horizon is destroying the worlds somehow and alter just watches
If you look in game at Alter’s bio in game, it talks about how Alter is crazy and likes to watch worlds end but she noticed every World was ended by one person. It’s strongly implied that Horizon is the one that kills everyone in every dimension. She’s here to push Horizon along to make it happen and it’s probably due to her messing with time.
Dropping a grenade when using her tac would actually be a cool perk
Tbh after watching the video of her doing it I was like "damn imma start doing that"
would be nice if her tac animation was faster, or can be used while having a gun out.. the hand animation she does pulling out her tac is so unnecessary...
The bored look on alter's face when mirage surrounds her is hilarious
My guess what will happen is, they will save Newton and next season or the one after, grownup Newton will be the new legend
As much as I want this to actually be a thing I don't think it will happen simply because think about how long we knew about Bangalores brother before he became a legend but I do suppose newt has been in the mix for a very long time

I’ve seen a couple theories that I believe make sense and it’s that alter goes about different dimensions to see the end of worlds just bc she enjoys the chaos and carnage and if when she visits the world, if it’s not already ending then she’ll help do that, that’s why at the end of her other trailer she said “I’m the one who’s there at the end” (or something along those lines) and was standing in front of that destroyed, warped city. Now it’s theorised that horizons pursuit of time travelling back to her son she has ended many other worlds and so alter is trying to help her time travel in the hopes that it will end this world too.
the next map being in Suotamo makes sense since Crypto is supposed to go there for some reason in this season. I hope next season we get more into his story
Its weird because alter has convos from various legends about there counter parts thats alters has made contact with

Plus wraith came across a mysterious figure during 1 of the story things they recognized wraith as Dr blasey but wraith saw she had a gauntlet (before she gets her tail thing I guess) plus noticed the figure has a scar on her left arm which Alter also has
What if Alter is patient zero in a world where she WAS Horizon? Far fetched, but I'm keeping my mind open cuz there's just so much mystery there HAS to be a weird twist that's unlike other legend stories. Or maybe she knows some of the legends cuz in other dimensions THEY were the ones that did whatever caused destruction and she probably "helped" them along too. Idk, all I do is know is with THIS much build up and mystery I'll be disappointed if it's all for something silly or they never tie up any ends.
The only problem I have w her tying into the wraith story is how heavily alter is tied to horizon I mean alter even has a pose that she covers horizons eyes then horizon ducks under them and walks out

@@SaraSkyblue Thats possible. For some reason I was thinking that Alter is the only alter in her universe and theres no other alters in the other universes and she died who knows howmany times and was reborn (yes ik it sounds stupid). In the pathfinder lore book, there was a chapter where we got into some of wraiths lore. Wraith said smth about meeting the legends in our dimension in our wraiths original dimension (ssmth like that). Also, there was something i noticed on apex's page when the legends section got graffitied/edited by alter. If u look at catalyst, horizon and wraith, theres this elipse or circle thing over horizons and wraiths hands (ig its the same thing for catalyst as well). It makes me wonder if shes got some lore with not only horizon, but cat and wraith as well (unless if alter is just mocking them as if their abilities are magic)
Also a tip from me: Enemies r highlighted in red when using legends with void abilities such as wraith, ash and alter. Smth I noticed when i used wraiths tac is that mirage's decoy is not highlighted. It makes ur life sm easier to know who the real mirage is. RIP recon legends

I like how they always use the Legendary Volt skin when Horizon uses that weapon.
So I think alter is actually Newt from another timeline. Also it would be cool to see them drop the new map in a mid season event. Instead of a town takeover or new character POI. Then next season we can focus on character reworks for a couple legends like the revenant change.
From what we know District was supposed to come out 2 seasons ago which is probably why all this lore stuff is placed there. The map release was delayed (duh), but the production of these kinds of videos takes a long time for planning, concepting, animating etc. So the video was probably already way too far down the pipeline to change it based on something else so they just let it be a sneak peak at District.
Alter lore isn't really tied to District so that didn't impact the release of either the map or the video, and we know from past Dev comments that a new Legend takes about a year and a half to release.
So super tinfoil hat theory that i just thought about when u mentioned alter may be someone that horizon knows maybe its ash from another timeline
Edit: i do not pay attention to the lore often i could be completely wrong i just know horizon knows ash for lore reasons and before she became a robot she wasnt that evil person

No, Ash was Ashleigh Reid, she alive around Horizons original timeline working on the team that created Pathfinder in order to harness the limitless clean energy potential of Branthium (a crystal that forms on the edge of a black holes event horizon)
Ash betrayed the scientists by sending Horizon into a black hole when she sabotaged a branthium collection operation
Later Ashleigh Reid died and was turned into a simulacrum

I completely agree I said the same thing because logically that's one of the few people who knew newt personally and she could have instead of becoming a simulacrum in that universe she became whatever alter is

Genuinely I think Alter is Horizon from a different universe. The video is titled “Altered Horizons” which could be pointing out how they are both Horizon. That’s why Alter says she knows her way to well, because she is her. It seems to me that Alter wants Horizon to be a villain or at least heartless like how Alter is. Maybe she is jealous of Horizon and wants Horizon to suffer like she maybe has in her own universe. Obviously this is just my opinion and I’m just guessing with not much evidence at all. Thoughts on this theory?
I hope your right but the title being altered horizons could just be a play on words since it's the lore for horizon and alter

I think the same, something giving me a vibe newton is a villian perhaps a mad scientist, maybe he spent years trying to find his mum as she does him causing problems throughout multiple timelines
ok, so maybe Alter is actually Newton? Like instead of a son the alternative Horizon has a daughter? So if thats true and similar things happen like in this universe, maybe all Alter wants is to actually help Horizon to get back to her son and it maybe changes stuff for her as well, in as she would be to get back to her parents as well being the counterpart to Newton? I dunno about universe theory but I guess they are connected somehow or else Alter wouldnt be able to dimension hop/ walk through the void. OR maybe Alter is one of Newtons children? He did have a daughter in one of the pictures in the Stories of the outlands...

My guess on why they released this trailer now is that it wasn't ready at the beginning of the season. It may be as simple as them deciding not to rush their animators.

The season was so bland they released early season trailer and content. Hope those Katar and that new currency bull undersell from their expectations. Five currencies in a video game is wild. EA is the king of greed of gaming.
Legends shards are free. Crafting materials are free ish. Gold coins are regular currency. Heirloom shards were made so you wouldn't just get a random heirloom from apex packs because on release instead of shards you'd get wraiths knife. And the exotic shards were made to buy universal heirlooms/melee items without using your very rare heirloom shards
