You can actually add targeted interests in Boosted posts also. Maybe not as specific, but Boosting has worked quite well for me given how complex ads manager is to set up. I watched the tutorial many times and it's just way too complicated linking IG to an Facebook account, not to mention the other problems that arise with linking to a Facebook (profile impersonation, hacking, being a micro-influencer (5-10K following) Creator ... not an actual business). I feel Boosting has it's merits, especially given how inexpensive it is for smaller accounts.
Hey Ben, you definitely can do targeting, I shared what that side by side looks like - it’s just far less advanced than how detailed you can get with Ads Manager. The level of specificity and optimization is what’s going to get the better result/cost. If the goal is just wide reach and the desire is to have the easiest route we always support doing what will give you the least headache. Thanks for watching! - T

As someone running a digital agency, I totally get your initial confusion, Harold! I stumbled upon Mydrop AI, and it's been game-changing for streamlining our ad strategy alongside organic content. Have you considered how seamless content management might enhance your efficiency?
Facebook says to leave ur boost for at least 6 days so it can learn your targeted audience better which leads me to think that it should provide the same results minus the more detailed targeting options which is the only difference between ads manager.
Hi, the targeting is only one of the superior elements of Ads Manager (Boosts are missing a lot of other optimization tools). They're right that you should let your ads run a while to let it learn more about who is actually engaging with your content - C
The only upside for boosting is that it seems that it is better at getting profile visits that convert to followers than doing anything in ads manager.
That is definitely an upside. Did you see they're rolling out the "increase profile visits" objective out to Ads Manager? 👀 Likely for that reason! They're also releasing one targeted at growing followers as well, which we'll definitely be testing out. - T

Completely fair! It’s hard to know without looking at your ads in manager vs on platform, my main objective is to optimize for the lowest cost per result so that you can scale and spend less to get more (which usually comes with ads manager only capabilities like retargeting, testing various creatives against various audiences etc) but if the current way is working for you no need to to fix what doesn’t feel broken. The AI uses information from each ad to better improve future ads and if there are different audiences / brands / content it’ll hinder that process. Hope that’s helpful! - T

On Monday many people including two of my friends and some high profile accounts were demonitized and lost their subscription areas on Instagram. No reason given and no replies from appeals. None of the accounts posted anything in the proceeding day and the only thing they have now is a demonitized check on status ??? Also since being demonitized they can't see anyone else's sub area. @@Highseasonco all are above board and some are even verified. I'm finding more each day that it's affected. Great question! If these are separate businesses that are attracting different audiences then they all need their own ad accounts. The AI uses information from each ad to better improve future ads and if there are different audiences / brands / content it’ll hinder that process. Hope that’s helpful! - T
Hi! Love your video's! I have been able to boost a post but instagram will not let me select Instagram ad. I have a business Instagram and I believe the business is the administrator. I would much rather run an ad than the boost! Do you know why I might be hitting this road block?
Hi! Thanks for the kind words. Are you receiving an error message? There's a number of reasons why this can happen, so knowing that might help - C
Good stuff
Thanks for watching! - C
Hi when you pause or delete a boosted post on Instagram do they cut the whole budgeted amount of only what was spent?
Hey! They'll only charge you up to what you spent during the ads runtime (so you wouldn't be charged the whole budget if you didn't spend it). Hope that helps! - T
@@Highseasonco thank you
As always great content but i
Got an unrelated question for you though..
Not even the crown on home page
Any ideas what the heck is going on??
Hey - appreciate that, thank you! We haven't heard anything, are those friends in anyway toeing the line when it comes to community guidelines? - T
@@Highseasonco all are above board and some are even verified. I'm finding more each day that it's affected. Also even if they were not legit it would be a crazy coincidence that 20 different accounts all around the world were suddenly demonitized simultaneously and lost subscription area?
Without making a post preceding the bans , it's definitely an ai issue within Instagram as they basically have zero humans working there lol
Is there any chance they mentioned anything politically inclined, or even used any, or just even one of those types of related words at all? Remember the algo has a huge reach behind the scenes and just cen s or s ...automatically, without explanation. Many content creators, all with upwards of half a million subs, in that field, were brutally shut down about 6 years ago, no warning...hence rum b le and many other such plat forms were created.
@@Marylmac nothing at all no , they have no interest in politics at all
When I pause ads, the time doesn’t pause. It continues to count down despite the ad being paused. Any fixes?
Hi! Do you mean the ad keeps running anyway? Even when you pause?
@ I pause it and it says it’s paused but the ad runs anyway. Because the time doesn’t stop
Do you feel that boosting posts right on Ig actually hurt your future posts engagement bs running ads using ad manager ? Let me know plz
Hi! Neither of those methods of running ads negatively affects your engagement/reach - C
Facebook ads has better option
We can choose our own Targeting
And while boosting has no option about detailed Targeting
Correct! - C
This was extremely helpful!
So happy to hear that! Glad it was helpful. - T
When youre in ads maaaaanaaager 😂
I like to add emphasis lol 🤪
@@Highseasonco 😂 love it
What about co-authored posts, I am unable to boost them. How do i do it?
Hi, here's some more information on that: help.instagram.com/797201308253238 - C
Hi
Hi! - C
So basically do both
It's technically always going to be what's best for you - but I think my bias is clear! - T
Can you boost a post and run a campaign in ads manager at the same time? Ideally I would like to boost posts and run a lead campaign
Does investing in ads or boosting content hinder organic growth, or does it signal the algorithm not to prioritize your unpaid posts?
Great question - not at all, fortunately. It just supplements what you're already doing organically - C
😂 “Stalker level”
😂😂😂😂
Thank you
So welcome, thanks for watching! - C
