Fantastic idea and hack!! I’ve been paying for a substandard mosquito treatment plus year round because they won’t do mosquitos without a year contract. It’s time for change! And you have provided the answer!

Proper Attire for pesticide application is waterproof boots, pants, long sleeve shirt, chemical resistant gloves. Respirator is required for a fogging application.

I was looking for a lightweight blower for my deck. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxgioZQl3J5wPGAeDINzbieKbT5qomSEx3 There are some huge trees around my house and the leaves and pods drop all over my deck. Having to move furniture around to sweep has become too big a chore. This blower was the answer. It is light enough for this 70yr old lady and powerful enough to blow all the tree droppings off my rather large deck. Thank you B&D. Be aware the cord is not included. I use a 3 prong outdoor cord 25' cord for my 12' x 20' deck. The cord retainer works very well, but don't try to pass the plug through it. That is NOT how it works. You just have to loop the cord and it works great. One of my best purchases. Very happy.

A tip that might make it easier. Instead of having the wand handle from the backpack. Just run a line right from the backpack to the blower tip with a cutoff valve in the middle. That way you can just close the valve. Build up your pressure and then open the valve.

First off, this is a legitimate hack that's great for the home user. I have a campground and my dads farm. So for me, there are a few more considerations. First, the purchase is tax deductible. Second, I don't want to store more stuff, and my blower is a backpack blower, so that would be hard to workout. But lastly, its just convenient for me to have a "one tool does it all" item. I think for residential, this is really the answer, but for any commercial application it won't work.

    • @Ajstacklebox
      @Ajstacklebox  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Agree! This strictly for the home owner trying to save a buck who already has a blower

Sacrifice a couple inches of the wand to make a short want to attach to the hose.
Unscrew at the base of the big wand, remove and slide the small piece in, and retighten.
Lock the sprayer “trigger” to on. Or if you don’t have a lock feature, zip tie it down.
Now you can use the blower in your right hand and pump the sprayer simultaneously with the left.
Glad to see HFT listened. The older backpack sprayers didn’t have any padding. Just web straps. I’d end up with bruised and scuffed shoulders from the weight and the thin material. I ended up buying a strap setup off Amazon to put on the sprayer. It was more expensive than the sprayer lol.

What a great collection of ideas all rolled into one ingenious hack! This video should really pump up your subscription base. I have an Echo backpack blower that I want to convert the most distal piece to accept the fogger head. When I just wanna clear leaves, it can be removed because I usually don't use the end piece because it makes the blower hard to maneuver and performs better with the end piece removed, when blowing off sidewalks and driveways. With the end piece having the fogger head, i can use the blower for both purposes. My sprayer is a 3 gallon hand carry type. If I could find one similar that's battery operated, That would be sweet!

very smart. u probably don't need the wan part from the storage tank because maybe the orange know on the mister can regulate the pressure and u just have to pump and hold one thing. U may need to put a a little on/off valve on there though depending if that nozzle will actually restrict the flow or pressure

Just an idea. Get rid of the handle part on the harbor freight sprayer. Then in 1 hand pump the sprayer and in the other hand your have your blower and when you want to stop just don’t pump. Inside of the backpack there should be another compartment that had the pressure and so you won’t have to worry about leaks if you do that. Granted your sprayer would only be useful for this contraption but just a thought.

Run the tube directly to the valve on the blower. Start blowing and slowly open the valve. Stihl are gravity fed not pressurized. I have one of the stihl backpack blowers on my truck I use frequently. You don't even have to pump or squeeze just run the tube to the valve on the blower tip and slowly open while blowing. Also, It's not just water in those tanks we're running permethrin

Shorten the wand on the sprayer and zip tie the handle to the handle on the blower. Use your thumb for the sprayer and your finger for the blower.

Good idea. Conect your spray wand to your hand pump and you won’t have to set it down.

I am going to do this on my Toro electric corded blower attached to my battery operated sprayer from Global Instrusties that looks similar to your Harbor freight sprayer.

Hey, I bought bifen i/t and cutter.... I have a deck in backyard... do you recommend spraying deck down too for mosquito control or only grass areas and bushes/ shrubs? Also do you recommend mixing cutter with the bifen in my chemical sprayer or only use bifen alone in the sprayer at its recommended dose?
    Thankyou

Cutters is pymetherin, which gives you an immediate knockdown, and Bifen IT gives you 60 day residual killing. I use the 36 % pymetherin and Bifen XTS mixed in the same tank and am very happy with the results

One more question, I ordered the nozzle but notice they sell these white plastic diffusers that snap on the end of the nozzle to control the spray up down and so forth. It doesn’t look like you ordered one and wondered whether that was something you added later or recommend

Great hack. I wonder if there is a way to get the sprayer trigger with the blower trigger so you could pump up pressure at the same time you were blowing ?
