I’ll admit, I was saying to myself, “what the heck is she doing?” And then the light bulb went on 💡 and I said, “ohhhh that’s ingenious!” You always give such great tips!
Jennifer thank you VERY much for this video. Perfect timing…I stamp w/my mentally retarted sister & always buy the stencils to make it easier for her. Many stamp don’t offer the stencils & the thought of having to cut them out seemed like a big chore to me. Not anymore. She sells her cards for pocket money since she can no longer work @ McD’s. (She crushed her pelvis in a fall @ home & then had cancer surgery & 20 rounds of chemo. She’s also almost 70.) Thank You so very much for breaking this down so easily I truly appreciate it. Jennifer, this technique is a REAL TIME SAVER for mass producing cards. Thank You so much for sharing your creativity and your engineer brain !!!! Rest and recuperate from your surgery.
I love this make your own stencil technique! I will be making about 100 Christmas cards for the Dementia facility my mom now lives in. So this technique will help me out a great deal. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I always appreciate you sharing your clever talents. 😊💕
You've got some serious "McGyver Skills"! What a brilliant technique!!! There's no way I would have come up with an idea like this! TFS!!! This is GREAT!
This video was SO helpful. I have stamps that I like but don't use because the images are time-consuming to color. Jennifer gives the perfect solution! Thank you for showing us this hack!
This is one of the coolest techniques I've seen lately! I love the look of coloring but do not want to spend the time. This is the perfect hack! Thanks, Jennifer!
hi jennifer! you're a GENIUS and the GOAT of the cardmaking world! i make about 40 christmas cards every year. in 2022, i used alcohol markers to color small images (hello bluebird: away in a manger) & thought it wouldn't take too long. I WAS WRONG! after this, i swore i would NEVER use alcohol markers to color images for that many cards again...until i saw this vid. for my 2024 christmas card, used this technique with the 2022 stamptember pink & main snow-one like you images. hard part: making the template (i HATE fussy cutting) easy part: coloring using blending brushes best part: there's no way i could get that type of shading with only 1 color ink BONUS: it didn't take that long to color ALL those images THANK YOU so much for sharing your knowledge!
Thank you Jennifer for your colouring hack video. It helps a lot when you are short on time when you have a little bit of help with time-management. Your cards looked great!!! TFS. 🇨🇦
Genius! You rock! Prayers for a quick recovery from your surgery! I didn’t go through the same surgery, but they had to cut into the part to put a rod through my Humerus bone, that I broke! Had to go through the same recovery and physical therapy! I did awesome and so will you!💞💞💞💞🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
You’re so clever, Jennifer!! I’ve seen you do this in the past, but forgot about it. Great reminder, especially with holiday card making coming up & as color layering stencils are so popular right now!
Oh boy! I had just decided not to get Tim Holtz stamptember release. Then I saw this video. You are such an enabler!🤣 I love the idea to make my own stencils. Thank you for all your inspiration.
When I saw your cards on Tim Holtz live yesterday, I remember thinking that the coloring must have taken an age given how great it looked. I pictured you slaving away with markers. What a genius hack. Thanks so much for the inspiration!
Believe it or not, I was thinking of asking on the fb page if Jennifer has bulk produce card videos using cute kind of images - i mean this sort of images and not flowery - and here this is! I can hardly believe my luck. Second time watching the video 😂 and enjoying it so much. Than you Jennifer ❤
What a fabulous video. I learned so much. I thought to myself as soon as I get done watching this video I'm going to make those masks. Well, I was getting the cart ahead of the horse since I just ordered the set. Oh my gosh. Too much excitement in being able to order the stamps and dies. It was Christmas before Christmas. Also, I looked for an e-mail address for you but couldn't find one. I just wanted to say that on the video at 24:50 the postage dies are not the Modern Postage dies. I didn't want anyone to order the incorrect dies. Thanks for all your hard work.
I love this Jennifer!!! I dont mind fussy cutting. I am taking a four hour drive, which I could get them prepared with fussy cutting. Yeah, you are making my drive more torrible. Thanks. I am going to stamp enough, fussy cut and get ready to stencil when I get to the coast . Hugs to you!
These are some Fantastic cards and tags Jennifer. I just love them ❣️ And Thank you for sharing this great hack for quick coloring. 👍💋 Sending you healing hugs.
This could nearly be headlined "make your own layered stencils" - so worth the effort, I agree 100%! The only issue I have is I don't have time to follow through right now, LOL!
… Incredible!… I always learn something new, every single time I watch your videos!… I wish I had known this technique before I painstakingly made all my Christmas cards… LAST WEEK! I should’ve waited 😂 Thank you, Jennifer. It’s always such a joyful learning experience with you
Thank you so much. I would never have thought of creating my own stencils. I love to color but this gives me a quicker option for repetitive production. :)
This is the idea that I have been waiting for to help me with my problem of also not being the best at coloring in or using ink and staying within the lines! I have tried my best to stay with the lines and no matter what, I always end up messing up with going outside the lines! This is the perfect solution!!! Thank you so much!!!
I saw your cards and tags on Tim's vlog. I love on this vlog you show how you did so many in such a short amount of time. This is definitely something I'm going to have to try. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas. I love your cards and tags.
I love your videos. You have an amazing and creative mind. I can see why engineering didn’t make you happy, but it does help you come up with awesome ways of doing things. Btw, I pray for you often.
I love how’s these turned out. And SO FUN to make coloring masks the way you did. I love coloring stencils because I can get more use of my inks to color the images. This is just a fantastic idea! Thank you so much for this!!
I just loved your technique. When you first showed some finished cards, I thought, no way is this going to be easy, but your technique is awesome and can't wait to try it. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Jennifer 😊 love this idea and hope to stretch the use of some older stamps that didn’t have stencils as I too am not the best at colouring. Hope you are recovering well from surgery
Thank you for sharing I tried this for some birthday invitations I was doing and it was so simple and such a time sharing idea! I hate fussy cutting but this is not the same and so very simple. Appreciate you sharing a great idea
