How do you do that?!! You pack in so much information, with step-by-step examples, and with demonstrations…and it is perfectly clear and easy to follow. And fun! Like a craft with a friend. Best part? When I sit down at my desk thinking, “I got it, I got it…I don’t got it… “ I can refer back to this at any time, day or night, forever. And, there’s a whole playlist of these! Wonderful ideas and detailed techniques! You really are amazing, and, you are amazingly real- it’s a fantastic combination! And, thank you for all of it!!!
Agreed! I even slow down the speed😂 so I can follow tutorials. I also love that Sam has added time stamps making it easy for us to find the one we want🎉
I AM SO GLAD I FOUND U, as a rookie crafter, the color tutorials are a gawdsend. I allow my disabled income one Fancy need a month to craft. Anxious to add metallic flakes to my supply. Saving for the bigger sisix, my no brand baby buddy doesn't produce much.THANK U &your beautiful left 🧠 creativity.😍
I ABSOLUTELY love your no nonsense manner & how brilliantly you explain everything without shouting “isn’t that super cute!!” every 5 seconds. Seriously though, your work is pristine & you have revitalised some tried & true methods proving these elements never go out of style. Thank you. ❤🇦🇺
I was so happy to see someone use gilding flakes! I’ve never seen ANYONE use them! They’re really cool and I think stunning for fall but I’d like to add some silver onto some of my backgrounds. And had no idea how to use them. Thanks for showing this technique! Also haven’t tried embossing through a stencil and enjoyed seeing that as well! I enjoyed this video very much. Thank you!
Found you as you’ve recap all these wonderful stencil techniques; beautiful cards created with the Moroccan tile guilded flakes and the white heat embossed ones as my favs. Thank you so much for the inspiration… yep, you now have a new subbie! 🤩💜✨😍
Well i was so relieved you didnt ask 'which do you like best' Sam. I would have struggled. These were fabulous effects. I truely enjoyed seeing all the lovely effects you created using stencils. Very enjoyable and full of great information. Thanks so much. Xxx
Sam, I absolutely love all of these cards. I've never used glitter flakes or mousses so you've given me real inspiration. I think my favourite is the reverse emboss. I can see my bank balance getting a real hit 😅 So inspirational ❤
You are spot on! Its called "candy corn." These are absolutely beautiful cards, Sam! You never disappoint! Thank you for sharing! (I do know this was done several months ago LOL)
Hello Sam 👋 from Kentucky USA 🇺🇸 Awesome stenciling and card design work! 👍 I tend to stencil more than using patterned papers. It's always much prettier. 😁 Plus you get to pick the colors used. Thanks for sharing your great stencil ideas. Happy Crafting ✂️ Happy Spring 🌼 God Bless You and Keep You Safe 🙏
I really loved how you daubed on Versamark reinker I was thinking you could squeeze the reinker fluid inside the Versamark lid. That way, any leftover wouldn't go to waste. It would stay moist or would help reink your pad. I am very inspired by so many of your ideas! Thank you.
This is a brilliant video. So much information in an easy to understand no nonsense style. Your examples were just beautiful and I will be subscribing for more TFS 💕💕💕💕
I am thoroughly enjoying your series -using your scraps-using your stencils etc....A lot of us are sitting with olenty of stash that we want to use up before we buy again....and this helps a lot...😍
So glad I stumbled on to your videos! So many ideas and techniques. You explain what you are doing while you show what you do! Great teaching plan! Thank you!
Thank you for all the work you put into this video. I appreciate your wide range of product use also - you are bound to hit a product I already own or a technique I can pull off with this long list of things to do with a stencil. A few of these I've never tried before. I will go hunt down that rubber pad that I should be using for embossing folders. LOL
Thank you again for a terrific tutorial on using stencils! Have to smile, you’re wearing white and using lots of bold colors. I’d end up with an multicolored sweater too, and my nails would also have a lovely tie dyed look. 😏
Gorgeous. I did buy the sentiment stamps but not the stencils. My favourite stencil has to be the cosmic looking one. Perhaps I should buy that stencil. Only reason I didn't is because I lack confidence with using them
This works for restoring all pastes and paints ii haven't or don't use regularly. 4 oz spray bottle + 3.5 oz distilled water + 4 drops glycerin (now brand) + 2 drops clove bud essential oil. Shake to mix. Added this to modeling & texture pastes (from Wal-Mart to art store quality), gouache paints, acrylic paints & paint pen markers, inks and ink pads of all kinds. The paints and pastes need stirring, some of them longer than others depending on lumps, clumps,, remove some of the dry bits with tweezers & can use a small battery operated mixer ( not a frother) and ii've used a screw driver or plastic or silicone (small) spatula (craft stores or makeup areas to not use fingers in jars to prevent bacteria).
Didn’t know you could dry emboss with a stencil. Will definitely be doing that soon. Tyfs. Love them all. Yes candy corn and they are horrible..the mandala is my favorite.
Hi. I have lots of stencils so you have given me food for thought here. Jut looking at your finished stencilled sheets gave me so many ideas for cards. Thank you for sharing your detailed video packed with idras an inspiration and i hope that you're having a great start to your week.😊
Plus it never occured to me that you can use stencils in a die cutting machine to create embossed designs. I only ever thought that only die cutting dies could be used in machines like that. Thank you so much.
Just beautiful!! I use the card techniques to make tags for junk journals! These are great! Which sticky glue do you use for the gilding flakes? Thank you!
I've been doing mixed media for years but you've got a few techniques I've never seen before, thanks! Like using the versamark reinker through tthe stencil.
I always buy stencils and stamps and when I get home I don’t know what to do with it. Thank you so much for explaining it. It is like “Stenciling for Dummies”. I’m definitely going to make a folder to safe it for later reference. Thank you so much xx
You are great on the demos, this was awesome. I have birthday cards to make and this has given my stuff some new light on how to use these stencils. Thank you for sharing. Hugs from afar in Utah.
I’m always looking for new ways to use my stencils, this is great, I LOVE THESE IDEAS! Thank you so much! ❤️👍🏼 OMY GOODNESS, that multi colored flower card with the inks was beautiful, I loved that so much!
Fabulous Sam so many ideas running through my head now.School holidays here in Australia now and the kids will have a ball with my stencils. Many thanks. Kathy from Sydney ❤
LOVE your ideas! I learned so much about what to do with stencils - and also how to finish the cards which is what I struggle with alot. Absolutely love all the cards - especially the last one with the starry scene. Wow!
Such a wonderful tutorial. I loved all the techniques you showed, great and colorful review for me on some I have not used in awhile. Keep up the artistic work, you're a genius in paper and color.
Thank you for this masterclass, I learned a lot! I saw the Lustre Polish on sale last week, new to me, and I didn't have a clue what it was for so now I'll definitely give it a go. Question!: Used with that style of stencil (i.e. no large areas) I wonder whether it would be flexible enough to make it through the post? Some of my normal texture pastes have arrived the other end a bit crumbled.
