    Just bought this tent for the extra room. I don't need it. I have a Nortent Gamme 4 which is great,. Sort of an impulse buy just because I like it. Must be getting soft in my old age (73). I'm looking around for a smaller stove for it. Most of the fold up Titanium stoves are near twice the price of the tent, but I have near as damnit talked myself into having one. I have two Winnerwell stoves. A Nomad large and a woodlander medium. The Woodlander should be fine for vehicle based camps and both can be damped down to suit I guess.
    I like the fact the stove you're using here has a cool side and radiates heat more directionally. I think I'm pretty much fixated on titanium as a lighter option as I still hike with a pack occasionally. I like the idea of baffles, added air intakes and secondary burning too. There are likely some good stoves aside from the big names out there that I'll never spot, so any stove suggestions from anyone would be appreciated. Love your content. Subscribed.

      @PerryMarshallScott Hey there! Thanks so much for watching and subscribing 🍻
      The Nortent looks so similar to the Pomoly X6. I love our X6 with the Pomoly Dweller Max woodstove. It's the best fire burning display out of all our stoves and so relaxing at night in the tent. Heavy though for even pulling a sled in, but my family loves that stove the best.
      I think for the Locomotive, the Pomoly T-Brick or T-Brick mini would be absolutely perfect. They run so nice and you can buy the stackable tops for added burn time. Excellent quality. I'd definitely like to hear what you end up with.
      I'm excited to get out in some heavy snow with the Locomotive 3 again! Our winter was disappointing last year 🤞 for this winter.

      @@HisandHersOutdoors : Thanks for the reply. I had the X6 lined up. Don't need it, may still get it, and have been eyeballing the Dweller Max3 stove. People complain about stuff falling out of the front of them but looks to me like they overload the firebox and just need to take a little care. That said, I use one of those large heavy duty aluminium trays on the floor with the stoves front feet in it. Catches anything and makes clean up quick and easy. The T Brick looks good, more metal ( 1mm thick ) extra air port and baffle. May end up getting one.Someone suggested I take a look at Darche and Ridge, trekrevive. Cheaper, but not by a heck of a lot. I like quality. Thanks again.

    Does the groundsheet extent under the bedroom inner tent? With the inner tent set up it looks like it's cramped, for even one person sitting around the stove.
    Is the lack of tent side-skirts a drawback (draughts)?
    This tent is around half the price of the Naturehike Mountain Peak Hot Tent 2-Bedroom (the extended version of the Massif). So it's a maybe.
    Thank you for the look-around.

      Hi there, yes the ground sheet covers the whole tent and then the inner tent sits over top. The inner tent is way bigger than it looks in the video. The stove area has loots of room for wood and cooking gear. I'm 6' tall and I enjoyed that mid area. Over all this is one of my favorite tents. Thanks for watching 🍻

      Sorry also, it was really windy that day and when setting up, I thought wind getting under would be a prob but not at all. Especially inside the inner and I didn't even zip it shut that night. I'm gonna check out that Naturehike tent later on 👍

      @@HisandHersOutdoors Awesome.
      Note: There isn't a separate page for the 2-bedroom tent on the Naturehike webpage. You find it on the 1-bedroom page. It's got a few photos, but it could do with its own page.

    What does everyone think? Would the locomotive 2 design or new Dune solo be more stable in wind?

    • @HisandHersOutdoors
      @HisandHersOutdoors  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Our new Dune Solo tent actually arrived this week! I think they are two different types of tents. The Dune Solo, is like the X4 / X6 Freestanding style. The Locomotive series, pegs out under tention
      We are doing a 10k hike in camp with the Dune Solo pretty soon and will know forsure 🍻

    What is the weight of the tent without the stove or the groundsheet?

    • @HisandHersOutdoors
      @HisandHersOutdoors  28 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @minemetsa I just put it on my scale for ya. 8.4lb with inner tent,but no groundsheet .

    Why is there a “inner”and all of that why not just a single sealed up tent? Seems like way more set up and weight

    • @HisandHersOutdoors
      @HisandHersOutdoors  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @zacd7094 when ur winter camping with a single winter tent, with no inner tent. Condensation will build. An inner tent separates from that. Secondly having the heat tunnel into the inner tent also gets held in this inner tent. No too many winter tents have an insulated layer and if they do, they are pretty pricey. And all this is based on having a woodstove. That's what the tent is built for. Not a light weight packable winter tent to block wind and hunker down in.
      Let me know if that helped at all? Great question 👍

      @@HisandHersOutdoors helped greatly. Tight budget and although I was hopeful to buy a hot tent I think a regular tent is my best option as I plan on doing some hiking and will more than likely have a group camp fire where I’m going

    • @HisandHersOutdoors

      @zacd7094 ok great! These tent also have areas designed to pull fresh air in aswell. To help with fresh air while burning a woodstove for hours. I'd stay on your idea if you are just planning on a low imprint 4 season tent with an amazing winter sleeping bag.
      Let me know your budget and maybe I can help you put together an affordable winter hottent setup. Nothing beats it!! Feel free to email if you'd like? Info is in our home page 🍻
