you could sand-paper that part of the shaft, which will eventually go into the head, before applying the epoxy - that will create more surface-area for the glue to bind

I drill a guide hole such that a 3" screw with an OD slightly smaller than the ID of the hosel can grab. I aggressive heat the screw, not the hosel, with a propane torch, alternately turning the screw in as I go. Once screwed far enough in and with sufficient heat, the epoxy bond will break free and the shaft tip will come out with the screw. Since the heat is from the inside, there is no head discoloration.

How long will it probally last? Is yours still working since you made the video?

Does it affect the driver distance after you fixed it?

So, Mr. Curious here, it's been a year now? How has the JB weld epoxy held up? I recently picked up an old Adams speedline 9064ls driver head that this gentleman was restoring. However I guess he fell in love and got married. Gave me the driver head, mostly redone. I just gotta paint it the way I like it. Or could just leave it matt finish, and glue a shaft on it.
Just wondering how the JB weld held up. We used to use that up north with some bailing wire to hold almost everything together. 😂😂😅

it eventually failed, I glued it again with jb weld and it has lasted longer this time, I think if I leave it in the car and it gets hot the jb weld softens and it comes loose, I would just use actual golf club epoxy
