It's simple: Foreigners must apply to immigrate legally. Every country in the world has the right to require this. Why do so many think the US does not?

The point of the wall was never to 100% stop the problems, but it will dampen many problems and combined with modern technology along the walls, you can really tackle the problem very well. I am not sure how people say a wall that special forces test to make difficult to climb over is no better than nothing.

    • @devincook1396
      @devincook1396 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

what? How does that relate to my comment? I am for sending back unwanted people, and keeping some that may be a boon to the country. I think Trump's deal to Democrats is acceptable, even though it lets a lot of people stay that probably shouldn't. I think the major concern is plugging the holes in the sinking ship and then getting the water out. Arguing about whether we use a bucket or a bowl to throw out water when there is a massive hole bringing in more is silly.

@hellasow More cost effective ways to monitor the border? Like what more border patrol? That's a yearly pay check that's far more expensive than building border wall. Even the cost of repairs to a border wall is cheaper than employing more border patrol.
You clearly haven't seen the new technology that can be incorporated with the construction of a border wall.
The new privately funded section of border wall came with sensors that detect digging, climbing, or merely approaching the wall on foot. Plus a roadway and lights the entire length of that section of border wall.
So let me break it down for you.
Merely approach the wall on foot and they know you're there.
Attempt to climb the wall, and border patrol is dispatched, and you're busted. Period.
Attempt to dig under the wall, and they know where you are digging down to the inch. And border patrol is standing there waiting for you on the other side. Your busted again. Period.
And that section of wall was built cheaper than what the government is spending on border wall with none of these features.
Who give a fuck if the drugs goes up! That means less of the population can afford them. Thus less of the population will be doing them. If you don't believe me, look at cigarettes as a current example of higher costs reducing smoker in the population. With the increased costs of smoking cigarettes via taxes, the amount of the population using cigarettes decreased. And not by a little, by a lot. Turns out many never do them to begin with do to the high cost.
The intent of the border wall isn't to stop merely drug cartels, and criminals. It to stop EVERYONE ATTEMPTING to cross our border.
It's not just the physically unfit who can't get over that wall. Turns out that a large percentage of the world's population has a fear of heights. Plus unless you're using a ladder to climb over the wall, you'll need to be EXTREMELY physically fit. Were talking about massive amounts of upper body strength. Among those who are fit only a certain percentage would be fit enough to shimmy up a 30ft wall by hand.
They could use a 30ft ladder. Next problem you'll need two 30ft ladders. One for each side of the wall. Which takes time. You have to climb up the first ladder, then lift the second ladder over the wall, then climb down the other side. Or throw a rope down the other side, and repel down a rope. Which again excludes a certain percentage of the population that can physically handle the physical requirements of repelling down a rope.
Anyway you look at it. You didn't think this shit out very well.

I'm a widow. When my husband passed away, I had no income, so I started my own housekeeping service and I was doing quite well, but the Mexican immigrant women would see my sign on the back of my car and they'd follow me to the homes and they'd undercut my price and I'd lose the home. My minimum was eighty-five dollars, to a hundred and fifty dollars. For three women to clean the same homes, they were only charging, twenty- five- five dollars.. My house cleaning business went down the tube.

Not surprising. They mention the jobs American's won't do. Then mention construction as one of those jobs American's won't do. Much like your business, the construction industry has been destroyed by cheap illegal labor. A job that paid 20 dollars an hour, is now done by an illegal for 8 dollars an hour. Electricians, HVAC, and Plumbers have remained untouched by illegal immigration. Only because nobody trusts them to do jobs that can burn house down, or other server damage. Otherwise they would have been replaced as well, with cheaper labor.

How does a border wall save life's? stuck in the hot dry desert, slowed down, people to there deaths, migrants are not terrifying the border, 600.000 American go missing per years and 5-600.000 are found dead (look it up) lived in Mexico for 46 years and Anglo American, for general crime the U.S. is more dangerous, most of the murders are cartel on cartel that's why you don't get involved in that life, most Mexicans nor the thousands of Americans never come in contact with the cartel and all drugs don't come from Mexico, many illegal drug labs in the U.S., most drugs are smuggled by Americans and people able to cross the border illegally, not illegal aliens, nor asylum, which most people are, ITS LEGAL and few Mexicans are crossing the border illegally

Is it not okay that they celebrate their heritage? Do you avoid yours? While I agree, since they chose to immigrate into the United States they have an obligation to learn to communicate and understand our culture, do you realize that the USA doesn’t recognize an official language? Since they are our largest immigrant population, why does it offend you that we offer additional language support while they integrate and learn? If you lived in a dangerous location and moved in fear of your life, would you not hope that you were offered support while you learned the new culture? Yes, they have responsibility but as a culture known as the melting pot, a country that has grown through immigrants, and almost certainly your ancestors were immigrants, shouldn’t we facilitate a successful immigration and assimilation into American culture?

, no mate, the EU was initially set up as a way of improving tariffs and relations, once countries had joined, the unelected leaders imposed rules and regulations such as unlimited immigration, ability to impose laws on member states and meddling in their internal affairs.
This is why Farage campaigned so strongly to get England out of the EU, over 80% of our laws are written by the un-elected leaders in Brussels, our democracy is dead whilst ever we are a member.
My point is all countries were sovereign before the EU changed the rules of its membership.

Not on this wall he doesn't make sense. His argument is that a wall will slow the illegals down....the only section of the border right now without a physical barrier is along the state of Texas. Look at the border map....the Rio Grande river IS the border line from El Paso to the Gulf of Mexico....the river already serves to slow them down as it is now so we don't need a wall. Border patrol is asking for more personnelle, -they are short handed in Texas which is affecting them in doing their job efficiently, -and this comes from patrol officers themselves.

I wouldn't say a wall openings in it would defeat the purpose of the wall, as is pointed to in this video around the 10 minute mark - as if the wall portion without the opening did not make for easy crossing/ or completely stop all crossing at that point, then guards could focus on the opening sections. Especially if you don't have enough staff or people willing to guard the border, building a wall could make the crossing of the border more difficult.

I work in construction, and when the Mexican guy they interviewed (who's helping repair the fence) said that American's don't want to do construction, nothing can be further from the truth. Construction companies have hired both illegal and legal Mexican immigrants who are willing to accept $10 an hour or less. On any given job site, I'm probably one of the only white guys who still does it, however my company actually pays us quite well. It's not that American's don't want to do the jobs, we just expect a livable wage to do them.

People who say crap like this are covering for their greed and disloyalty. They make money off of illegals, or are sleeping with them. All these jobs even fruit picking and field work were once done by US citizens, but low wages are the reason you have to entice foreign criminals from another country. I grow my own garden or do without. Cheap fruit and veg is not worth the damage and cost illegal aliens cause. It comes down to using force to stop this once and for all. We are too soft. Dead border crossers in the thousands, poison gas pumped into tunnels, burned out wreckage of vehicles. A death zone that people are too afraid to enter much less cross daily. Rooting out the illegals living in the US needs to start with the schools and hospitals and grocery stores and gas stations. Banks and real estate agencies, motels. The IRS has a huge data base that they maintain, and many of these people who are on the IRS list have stolen other people's identities. Time to get these bureaucrats learning who they work for and what is and isn't ok for them to do.

Did you see that gentleman in this video who was wearing snake guards on his legs? That's because the desert has a lot of rattlesnakes. It's also well over a 100 degrees for most of the year. Very dangerous country to be crossing on foot. They find hundreds on dead bodies along our borders every year. So if they are just seeking asylum as you say, then why are they traveling to the most dangerous and remote sections of our border, to cross snake infested area's in 100 degree heat? When they could sit in a air conditioned car right on the main road, wait for border patrol to drive by, and turn themselves in as a asylum seeker. London is known as "Londonistan". You Brits have huge immigrant problems and have lost
your national identity in less than 20 years. Very sad.

wandering spirit: You misunderstand the British, we have a lot of patience and very indiscriminate when it comes to race, we are used to multi-culturism from the 1970's.
However it is a problem now, and it wont be long before something big happens, the British patience is now wearing very thin, and when it does sparks will fly, we are one of the most tolerant, but also very proud of our nation and identity; you only have to look at our history to see that.

You can tell the legacy of the most cruel colonial Spanish rule left behind in the many Latino countries. Dictatorship after dictatorship drug cartel after drug cartel which left many helpless ordinary people running for their lives. There is only so much other can take them and they are nowadays to the fact that we can no longer handle it anymore.
