Visited this mall many times in the 1970’s. The JC Penney’s was there from the beginning. A Waldens bookstore was on the opposite end. There was a sit down restaurant in the middle of the mall. The Taco Bell and other fast food restaurants started in early 80’s
I was getting ready to leave the same comment. I am assuming you also live in Mattoon. Hate it when people mis pronounce the name. Love it here. The only problem with the video is he didn't cover the whole mall. There is a big food court and a lot more small stores.

Sucks that Penneys closed but I heard rural king are good owners. May do an update at some point.
