I saw Cocker live at a small venue in Baltimore almost 20 years ago. Live, his voice is like nothing I've ever heard. It's very difficult to describe but you could literally feel his voice in the air around you. Recordings completely fail at capturing the experience of hearing his voice live. You're right about his heart. He put 100% into every song. His encore was an a capella version of this song and it was just absolutely amazing.
Joe had a one of a kind voice. I watch this and A Little Help From My Friends. And I always get tears. As a musician myself. His brilliant style . The emotions he put into everything. I've just recently started watching "reaction" videos, and always enjoy your technical breakdowns of each artist's performance. You nailed Joe Cocker's gift of performing with pure emotion. One of the hardest things for people to do is bare their emotion, their feelings, and their soul to others. (That's why they call it soul.) I went back and watched this a second time watching your face as Joe sang. At the end you said you didn't say much, but your expressions said plenty. Joe succeeded in instilling in you the feelings he was sharing in the song.
