"my buddies and me are gettin' real well known, yeah the bad guys know us and they leave us alone" man I love that line. just a bunch of good kids not bothering anybody and having fun.
Years aago in San Diego, before they became so well known, after a Padres games, a buddy and I saw the Phils beat em and then....the Padres put o this Beach boys concert and with our ticket , we got to see it free. It was tremendous then and still today after all these years, their sound still is the best.
This song with its nice rhythm and meaningful lyrics, coupled to the good voices and music has been one of my favorites through the years, Te falsetto of Brian is still very good to listen and enjoy.
In 1975 I was 18 years old. I just graduated high school and went to see the beach boys in concert about a month after. When the concert was over, I was leaving with two couples that I was with we were walking through the parking lot. We had to step aside to let three limousines. We figured it was the band and it was. The first one went by The second one went by And the third one stopped, and I are staring out. The back window was Dennis Wilson, staring at me.😅 I tempted to walk by the car. He open the door and grab my arm. He said get in and we’re going back to the hotel for a party I kept saying I’m with my friends he was 14 years older than me and very drunk I did not go.😂😂😂

Dennis was Dennis , they weren’t near as wholesome as some thought not even close but great musicians, if you were from LA in the day everyone new.
Brian has turned into Mike with his hand gestures. Give him his bass back!
