Been playing 40 years and they still sound fantastic. Even if you're not a hard-core metallica fan you can't help but admit that to be that lit for that long is impressive.

St. Anger and Frantic , for me..... best performance of everything else presented here.
St. Anger is an awesome album. These two songs along with unamed feeling and invisible kid are some of the best songs theyve ever written

Nowadays it’s easier thanks the direct digital tone (even reamping signal) from machines like Axe Fx (yes metallica use also Axe Fx), without miking cabs
James is in his 50's and hasn't lost his vocal range in the slightest bit. Not many vocalists maintain their vocal range after decades of touring and aging like this man. No having to tune down for this guy ;)
For some years he had quiet a few problems. But his voice is back. But they are tuned down. Just 1/2 step but tuned down :D

You must be deaf 😆 everyone loses their range him and Mustaine got it worst. They both have tuned down as well. Dickinson, Halford have also lost a bit of their high end but still sound just as good as their oldselves. And I'm a metallica fan myself.

my respect, true music history living icons. glad to be sharing earth at the same moment and enjoy their sound, they all play the same as they did 30 years ago. Age seems to make them even better, James, Kirk, Lars, you guys are the best. i feel so bad i couldnt see them at Argentina when they came last time. Hope i have the chance one day, PD: Trujillo doing such a great performance and merged with the band so good makes me happy too

The first few songs is Steven Colbert's show from a few weeks ago, next few were from a show that was filmed 6 years ago and the frantic vid seems to be an appearance when they were promoting the st anger album judging by James' hairstyle etc. Its pretty evident it's not the same show in all songs lmao

that live garage sound is perfect. I lost touch after Reload, except for Death Magnetic, but I am glad to see they look fit and au naturel. James Hetfield always swore like crazy live, but I don't remember it showing up in the song lyrics, so the first song was a surprise. And the mummy guitar is still there! I remember the ESP craze, I would stare at the Kirk guitars in catalogs, full of wonder...

I don't give a fuck about metal music but Metallica have FOREVER been that metal band who absolutely fucking RULE and I MUST see them before it's too late. I honestly thought they'd got old and packed it in already, but a few recent video clips on youtube show me that they are still going hard and strong, and clearly have years left in them.
