Where we gonna go? Anywhere. What are we gonna do? Anything. Classic, that's just how it was dating in the 80's. We didn't care what we did or where we partied. In the 80's we had a good time all the time.
I love this movie. I was 16 when this came out and so in love with my boyfriend. We got married and had 3 kids. I’m 51 now and a widow. I miss my husband so much. I wish I could go back to the 80’s and stay there forever.
Except coming down from Mulholland? How? No, more like the end of the movie, on the Hollywood southbound across the Cahuenga Pass. And that damned Modern English song wasn't bad on its own, but...not what the moment really deserved.
We really didn't know what we had in the 80s and couldn't wait for the future...little did we know. I feel sorry for the kids today who can't even go cruising like this for fear of getting gunned down by some nutcases.
For 1981 to 1988, my friends and I spent a good deal of our time cruising the Downtown, South and Westside areas of San Antonio listening to killer music like this.
i grew up in Orange County, CA back then. I grew up with girls like those two who were afraid of their own shadow. La was kind of scary place if you think about it. OC was a protected bubble back then. @@proudhawkeye
But, don't forget the Son of Sam NYC 1977. Serial killers were prolific in the 70's into the 80's. It's just that we didn't live in a 24*7 info. world then. I'm a class of '77 kid. It was still a great time to be young in America for a lot of us.
“ I personally guarantee you will have the time of your life tonight, you’ll see things that you’ve only read about in books”, that was a classic line a-ha, ha, ha, ha, 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
According to Martha Coolidge, most of the driving footage shot from North Hollywood to the Sunset Strip was unusable. Nic Cage would improvise random thoughts out the car that would make the other actors laugh, or shout at real people on the street. In the early 1980s, these were dangerous areas and some of the reactions from the crowd caused the actors to break character or the crew to halt filming.
I just noticed, after her holds the door open for them and they get in he shuts it, then he taped the lock to lock the car door. Lol. Not like it would keep her from getting out, and HI, it’s a convertible and the window is open. Maybe it was just a subconscious demonstration of his hopes. Don’t let her get away. She’s the real deal.
Right about 3:06 it starts. Oh, and even as a Dirty American, This counts as Can-Con and Yanks should know what that means ;) Canada is not the US and when you start picking up on Canadian performers, you can go down some sweet holes.

Glorious times.
Yup. Quoting Bon Jovi " a 6 pack and a radio we didn't need a place to go"
Basically the same lines were spoken by Nic in City of Angels in the library scene.
I couldn't agree more! I was playing bass in a cover band in the 80's, best times of my life!
I melted when Nic uttered those lines - his voice is like honey.. his eyes are mesmerising…❤️
I can’t put into words how much I love this movie in its entirety.
"Love my way" the psychedelic furs! Classic EIGHTIES! LOVE THIS MOVIE!

A punk rocker from Hollyweird and a hip girl from the San Fernando Valley. It doesn't get any better than that!!!
Except coming down from Mulholland? How? No, more like the end of the movie, on the Hollywood southbound across the Cahuenga Pass. And that damned Modern English song wasn't bad on its own, but...not what the moment really deserved.
Every single character played their part well! I love this movie! Love the sound track 🌟💯🌟

I the miss simpler times when "I like tacos, a '71 Cabernet, and my favorite color is magenta" was a fail-proof pick-up line.

God was Deborah Foreman adorable 😍

"And Miss lippy's car is green"
I’m watching this movie right now. What an amazing time! I love that I was a young person during that time! Brings back great memories! 👍
Those were the days, love the 80's
There something constantly, honest and honourable in the characters played by Nicholas Cage, its inherent in his personality.
Pat Travers is awesome!
I grew up a valley girl in the 60, and 70s
Fun Fact: Starting at 5:51, that's Valor Kand and Gitane DeMone from Christian Death.

I swear what she took out of her purse at first was ckkkkkk! Chop it up!!
Omg when cars had individual style and class ,now they're all plastic boxes 📦/different colored junk no style 😅
What's that song they play while driving in hollywood?
It's in the title of this video.
4:03 looks like "David & David welcome to the boomtown" copied this clip
4:48 when you floor it before the school bus stop sign is fully out.
Nick
I lobe Nicholas Cage
Randy
El no es Nicolás Cage
Funny

They should have went to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show !
"Lets do the time warp....." arhh never mind
@4TheMotorist haha yeah,it would have been too awkward once Cage got exposed to that lol
My HS self loved Deborah Foreman's looks. She still looks great now, but my taste changed to brunettes.
I think Julie’s friend has a legitimate gripe here.
Girls from Encino liked those gawd-awful hair bands. When they matured and become a little edgy, they'd take a chance on the Go-Go's.
He's like the makin' copies guy. Steve! Steve-o! Steve-o-rama! Steeeeve...
Good old days of SoCal
