That is amazing! Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Straightforward job. Glue the hitchpin rail back in place, replace all the strings, revoice all plectra and dampers, regulate the two jack rails on their stops, and refelt the area between the bridge and the hitchpin rail ( this felt appears to be missing ).

Hitchpin rail… easier said than done.

@@fluffkitten4339 The hitch pin rail appears to be coming away from the bentside. Obviously, one would need to remove all the strings first, but once that is done the rest is straightforward. A good glue and loads of cramps would suffice.

@@arburo1 it needs to come off. You can’t clean the glue joint otherwise. Also, the type of glue necessary to reglue it is crucial. Not to mention the hitch pins seems to be leaning forward out of their holes. The best, and most permanent solution I think would be to replace the entire hitch pin rail, as the holes are already ruined, and there’s one hitch pin for every two strings etc etc. I’d also dowel the new rail in into the soundboard liner. Btw, felt in the strings between the bridge and hitch pins is not a thing for harpsichords.

    Maybe replace the strings!
