Ric, I hope you read this. Today is September 12, 2019. I am 62 years old. I spent my life on the road not quite as crazy as you did, but the road never the less. My body started to break down at 60. Stoke, AFIB, Sleep Apnea and congestive heart failure. 6 months ago I began to eat right. 4 months ago I got a personal trainer. Every day in the gym, I listened to wrestling pod cast and as I ran on that f***ing treadmill watched your old matches. I told myself, if Ric Flair could survive a plane crash and the unbelievable loss of his son, I could lose weight and take the pain of working out. You inspired me, thank you Nature Boy.
Rick just proves that pain no matter what kind leaves a long lasting mark on ones life. I feel your pain about your son. I feel for you Rick and hope peace finds you.
Flair had his demons that thank God he has overcome but at the same time was the greatest human being to the fans, children and his teammates. You see him tear up when he speaks of fellow wrestlers that have passed, friends, fans this shows a man with a true heart and love. I have met Ric many times and he is a great person to talk to and know. He never turns down an autograph wanted to be signed . I have seen personally these ex wrestlers at these comicon events wanting 80, 90, 100.00 for there signatures and Ric is a free autograph, hug, picture to anyone who approaches him. He is the icon and personally if I wanted a pic and autograph from any wrestler current or ex it would be Mr. Flair. Flair, thank you buddy for all the years and continued love for your fans and others. God bless you brother.

If he is talking about real feelings and real life situations, happy or tragic, he is candid and puts his whole heart into it. He was addicted to his life and career in every facet and knows right from wrong and sugar coats nothing in accepting what he loves, respects, and even regrets. It takes a certain profile, personality, and man with then years and years of styling and profiling to perfect it. Ric Flair was like an act/actor that performed similar acts for decades and the best part is his fans never ever got tired of it. They are as addicted to him now as they were when he started back in the early 1970s. No one ever got tired of "Wooooooooo!!!!" One more thing, he freely and with no reservation gives credit to all the others he performed and worked with too. That is very special for someone who had the theme of performing with the image and perception that the spotlight should always be on him.

I grew up like so many kids from the late 70's early 80's and Saturday mornings was about cartoons then the local wrestling programs. For me the local was Birmingham ( Bullet Bob Armstrong) and Memphis (Jerry the King Lawler ) when the brash fast talking Nature boy would come in and trash our big name wrestler he would set the local fans blood on fire. It was genius. I miss the days of the territories.He not only made wrestling,entertaining he gave so many others the push they needed. Back then I despised him,,now I respect him. Nobody did more for the sport than Ric. He is still the man alligator shoes or not!

In my opinion he was the last person to really compete for record on his own merits. A person nowadays can win 3 belts a day if a McMahon says, "here is the story line". You are going to be a legend. To make this happen dead men raise from the grave to win a belt. (just for an example). Bray Wyatt should be the push over the last few years. He should the one to be what they market Lesner to be and maybe compete for the Streak. He is a better "for business" Than any belt holder in the for the last 5 years or so. While I am thinking on this, they should surprise us by having him win a #1 contender vs. Roman Reins, take Brock's belt at Wrestlemania, AND keep it for a few years. Punk's reign as 400 sumptin days was "record?" *note cloudy with a slight chance of rain days excluded.
