For the simple fact 3 of his four years at George town he took them to 3 NCAA Championship finals. Even more amazing before he got there @ Georgetown they only went to NCAA men tourment once the previous year. Finally, if there is any reason why athlete should be paid, he's the a poster child why student athlete should be paid because he made the school million of dollars, and before he got there nobody heard of the school accept the rich, and privilege and when he left the school everybody in the country knew Georgetown. Jeffrey and Patrick at carolina together would have been unbeatable. People forget that Patrick Ewing was the #1 recruit in nation not Jordan. Patrick Ewing was the best freshman in that national championship game. Patrick Ewing took Georgetown to 3 championship games and won the Big East title. After James Worthy left, Jordan and carolina don't even win an ACC tournament title.

The Georgetown loss was all on Coach Thompson. I love him, but that goaltending tactic was dumb as hell and the reason why they lost. They gave up 10 damn points off goaltending and lost by 1. A player who wants to win will happily get his shot goaltended if it means 2 free points. It's a big difference between getting your shot blocked and getting goaltended.
