Love it! I'm one of the first 200 members of Counter and glad I got in early. Awesome to see Graf Media Co growing as well. And of course, appreciate the transparency with The Graf Tax Co. I'm about to start my second tax season as a sole practitioner and you've been such a great inspiration for me! Thank you!! -Sam Nguyen
Congrats on the bus! This is so helpful as I think about my future. I work as an accountant at a firm and would love to be a part owner or make my own someday. Your talk about your laziness is also encouraging because I feel like I struggle with that. Here’s my required note about Counter, and Graf Media Co, your very cool extra businesses.
Great wisdom in delineating growth versus scaling! The challenge of edification for client and personal growth is what makes you a great practitioner, not the headcount. Good luck with Graf media and Counter endeavors!
Awesome video and an inspiration to all potential future accounting firm owners including myself. This is just the beginning for Counter and Graf Media Co and hope to be a part of Counter in the near future!!! 😉
Love ur videos!!! I’m in college to be an accountant, and I’m planning to get my CPA. Ur videos encourage me to start my own firm in the future!!! Keep making videos ur my inspiration that keeps me going…
Thanks for the wonderful content Logan! I'm looking to turn my accounting/tax side hustle full time and your videos really help me in the journey. Congrats on your practice, Graf Media Co. and Counter :)
This is an awesome video. It is good to see a trend in the number of hours year over year, it’s awesome it’s dropping as time goes. I have been thinking about starting my own firm for 2 years but I get a bit nervous going out on my own because I don’t have a community like Counter of like minded people in the same situation. It is hard to jump out of the private industry where the money is decent and jump into an ocean where you don’t know what income you’ll make and even know if you’ll be able to support yourself. It is interesting to see the income trend for Graf Tax Co. to see where your numbers are and develop a range based on it. Keep up the good work it’s truly inspiring to follow the journey.
Love this video. The 2023 one made me start my own firm! Only have a handful of clients so far but excited to quit my job when it picks up! Thanks Logan!
Your approach and feedback are a great example of a healthy way to work in public accounting. Thank you for sharing your details and perspective to make our profession better.
Thanks for all of your content Graf Media Co! Awesome numbers on Counter. You have inspired me to go out on my own after this tax season. Congrats on getting out of VO!
I’ve watched all your other videos, god willing I get my BS in accounting from SNHU by may of 2026! Taxes suck the life out of me. Thank you for showing us your experience as a CPA firm owner.
Great video! Thanks for sharing the figures for Counter and Graf Media Co as well. So interesting to see these videos year after year. Appreciate your transparency!
I was a stay at Home mom with no money in my IRA or any savings of my own, which was scary at 53 years of age. Three years ago I got a part time job and save everything I make. After 3 years, I am 56 yo and have put $9,000 in an IRA and $40,000 in my portfolio with CFA, Evelyn Infurna. Since the goal of getting a job was to invest for retirement and NOT up my lifestyle, I was able to scale this quickly to $150,000. If I can do this in a year, anyone can.
I know this lady you just mentioned. Evelyn Infurna Services is a portfolio manager and investment advisor. She gained recognition as a former employee at Goldman Sachs; a renowned investor she is. Evelyn Infurna has demonstrated expertise in investment strategies n has been involved in managing portfolios and providing guidance to clients.
I went from no money to lnvest with to busting my A** off on Uber eats for four months to raise about $20k to start trading with Evelyn Infurna. I am at $128k right now and LOVING that you have to bring this up here
Can't share much here, I take guidance from ‘Evelyn Infurna’ a renowned figure in her industry with over two decades of work experience. I'd suggest you research her further on the web.
Great video as always Logan, thank you for sharing. I always love your editing. My firm is entirely focused on tax resolution and taxpayer representation, so I don't offer the same services, but I have enjoyed following your progress on LinkedIn and TH-cam and enjoy your sense of humor. Keep up the great work. I look forward to seeing how Counter and Graf Media Co evolve.
Love the content Logan! You and Jason Statts inspired me to open up a niche firm. I'm excited to see that Graf Media Co and Counter are growing. Best of luck this tax season.
Counter and Graf Media Co are exciting to see grow. Appreciate all the great content you provide - been helping me determine if I should take the launch into running my own firm. Thanks!
Hey Logan, great video. I've seen lots of your posts on X as I lurk on #TaxTwitter. Didn't know much about Counter or Graf Media Co., so I really enjoyed learning about those in this video. I had a question about what you'd recommend. I'm 26, just passed the CPA exam last year and also am an Enrolled Agent. I've been thinking about starting my own firm but can't get over the imposter syndrome or the feeling I don't have enough "real-world" experience. I know you had several years of experience at different sized firms, including lots of experience in the world of tax. What would you recommend for someone in my shoes? Work for a big firm? Small firm? And for how long? Thanks! Hope you have a great 2025!
So great to enCOUNTER someone that's willing to share this information. Looks like COUNTER-level creativity meets GRAF MEDIA CO vibes in this video-what a masterpiece!
Graduated as a business admin and now shifting towards graduate studies focusing in accounting so I can become a CPA . Would love some advice on this transition.
Hi Logan, thank you for doing what you do! May I inquire about what tax software you use? I’ve been on ProSystems FX for over 12 years and thinking about going out on my own this year. Scared to jump in and learn another software due to efficiencies but also thinking now would be the time to change as ProSystems is so expensive. Love to hear your thoughts. TIA 🙏
Im a senior accounting student positioned to graduate with my bachelors in accounting and finance in december of 2025, any advice for someone in my position?
@I generally thought I wanted to work in public accounting at a big 4 but im feeling discouraged about the work life balance and amount of interaction with people as im very much a people person, I want to work in the financial industry while still interacting with people as a primary part of my role.
@@Primal-IsaacEX I'm a people person too. I started in Big4 (Deloitte Audit). There's lots of people interaction (coworkers and clients) on the audit side.
There is a huge shortage in the corporate tax area right now. Specialize. Hours are better than public CPA firms. Benefits are generally solid. $150k+ is pretty much the going rate for corporate tax management roles these days, especially at larger companies.
