The angle of incidence (not dihedral) can be controlled by the pilot for trimming the aircraft. This way you can trim the aircraft at any speed and still maintain full elevator authority. This is the way it's usually done on big airliners. Dihedral is the angle the wing (or tail) makes with the horizon looking from behind the aeroplane.
cjracer1000. The KC30 benefits from the A330/A340 common wing as the refuelling pods are mounted on the hard points where the A340's outboard engines would be.
@DNETV Not by much, though. When I went to Canada in nov. of 2007, the flight to Canada was a 2-3-2 combo 767 and the 777 was a 3-3-3.. So it's just 2 seats wider, but I guess it depends on which 777 you fly with
I saw a video similar to this one at the Airbus website honoring the creation and the delivery of their 5000th aircraft to Qantas, it was an A330 I forgot what series it was either a A330-200 or A330-300, so cool! Weeeeee!!!^_^
JabbleProductions. Yes, the Beluga is based on the A300. Before they built the Beluga they used the Aerospacelines Super Guppy (a modified Beoing B-377 Stratocruiser) which allowed Boeing to joke that 'every Airbus is built on the wings of a Boeing'. Airbus now need to develop an even bigger Beluga to allow them to fly A380 sections as the current journey by road and ship takes over a week.
I am a Airbus A340 pilot.Regarding the flight ability of this aircraft,i m always asked and very often asked by some kids and my friends who does'nt flewed this jet ever because this aircraft is quiet heavy and like very low responce to control in,so that's not the case at all !inspite of it's weight,of it's mass, and of it's size THIS AIRCRAFT IS EXTREMELY TO RESPONSIVE TO CONTROL INPUTS WHEN YOU FLY manualy and you can fly it with fast responce, fast movements at the same time it's very stable:)
Dude you guys should seriously stop the discussion over which manufacturer is better. Airbus and Boeing are both equally great. To the people that say Airbus is unsafe or that Boeing is unsafe, are you that ignorant to think that the FAA or CAA would let people fly in unsafe aircrafts? Honestly it's a very stupid comment. Ive flown in Airbus and Boeing aircrafts and i must say there BOTH great to fly with. Great piece of video here, Thanks for the upload :)
hmmm does the dihedral of the entire horizontal stabilizer fluctuate like that or were they just installing it? (1:20) if it does fluctuate what would be the purpose? slow flight on final maybe?
Do you count the A340 which was knocked out of the market because of the competition perfect? Or the A380 which has no competition really yet airlines still cancel orders perfect? Yes the A320 and A330 have been very good and sold very well, but so has the 707, 727, 737, 747, 767, 777 and 787. The 737 and A320 are even stevens, but the 747 had its time and the time for jumbo aircraft has passed.
You're a boeing fan... Like millions of others 'How original' dude. Glad that you agree that airbus is as safe as boeing though. Many boeing fans overlook that.
747 is over guys. Go and look at the Air France videos of the A380 with passenger boarding inside and the videos from inside of the Air France. Look at the interior and fetures unbelievable.
Your "experience"? You've been in Airbus crash then? One that was caused by the plane? Do you have anything to back up your assertion that Airbuses are not safe?
@shamk9 so do i if only they would cool down on their competition if only they realized that they are two of the most successful aircraft companies ever
The A340-600 is such a magnificent bird, with her big engines and long fuselage, she looks amazing!
I've flown A340 two time. Frankfurk - Atlanta and Munich - New York, and i absolutely love it! Also, both times with Lufthansa,.. great arline!
The last time I watched this video, I had a dream to be an engineer, now its a reality. Thanks for inspiring me.
I love a340's so much, these engineers are great

A340-600 My Fav..Nice work. Just applied to an internship at airbus
@ 1:28 That must be the worlds largest spraybooth. Simply awesome!!!!
thanks for the tutorial, I've just built one : )
Love the A340, once i flew from Mexico city to Paris with AF, nice plane, I also like the BT7

@DNETV This A340-600 looked pretty darned big. I think it's more an Airbus version of the 777-300ER. Since the 777 is larger than a 767.
One of the best and most revolutionary planes EVER BUILT! We will miss it! Like our favorite A300-600! We hope that the A350 will be the same good...

I love the music! Fantastic clip! I love it!
WOW!!! that was an awesome build!!!
Looks like drilling fastener holes. There is a template attached to the bottom of the wing and they're pushing holes through.
this is so amazing it makes me cry^^
@Kimflash the A380 is longest although when i look at the A380 is small
This vid is awsome! I found it after we took an Iberia A340 to Madrid.
Man for some reason i really enjoy this video. Its so cool.
love this .love the A340
very beautiful plane
@Kimflash the AN-225 is the longest actually

@kelvinair747 it doesnt matter how many engines it has its seems to me the a340 is a a330 with 2 extra engines
I didn't know that. But nice to read. :D
Very nice film. Thanks for sharing!
Such a Beutiful Aircraft :')
as soon as the 787 flys; agreed.
Its an A340-600 they do add the middle wheel when it enters the second shed, and also the tail says "600" in the end
Dude you guys should seriously stop the discussion over which manufacturer is better.

Great piece of video here, Thanks for the upload :)
that is really neat, i have never seen one put together
love how half a plane comes out of a another plane
amazing aircraft
@Pvjinflight, dreamlifter would be nice without the affro it has. and some do look nice lime the An-225, C-17 and C-5.
INCREDIBLE!
1:16 Best job in teh world XD
How long would this take in realtime ?
I Think 3 weeks, but it's just a guess because of all the robots wich they use.
airbus beluga with a airbus a340 in it......AWESOME!!!!
fantastic
beautiful
hmmm does the dihedral of the entire horizontal stabilizer fluctuate like that or were they just installing it? (1:20) if it does fluctuate what would be the purpose? slow flight on final maybe?
what a fantastic video! 5 stars!
so awesome!
beautiful i will own that one day IN SHA ALLAH :)

@gliderwickid i see i guess you could say its more of an angle of incidence control. that's interesting though. engineering at its best
@CobraMarty Well it has the length of a 777, but the width of a 767. The 777 is a lot wider.
Woooow fantastic video!
You're a boeing fan... Like millions of others 'How original' dude.
Glad that you agree that airbus is as safe as boeing though. Many boeing fans overlook that.
@Bazem2cars Yeah, its pretty cut and dried, few bolts here and there...
awesome vid
very nice
so this is how they manufacture an aircraft. its like a tamiya model from this view.
The wonder of human engineering!
747 is over guys. Go and look at the Air France videos of the A380 with passenger boarding inside and the videos from inside of the Air France. Look at the interior and fetures unbelievable.
wow thanks,
what a nice beautiful thing
@apocalyptica099 it takes 3 days for airbus to make an a340-600
All aboard the scarebus!
cool, nice video! thanks for sharing ;)
Amazing!
very nice!
They make it look so easy...
awesome!
awesome vid mate!
dang thats fast!
awesome vid!
How the heck can people fight over who is better Boeing or Airbus, that's beyond me. But well done, you managed it, lol
whats the music called that goes along to this
awsome vid thanx
Porque antes de tocar tierra el tren de aterrizaje esta inclinado?
wow that was awesome
@vivele77 yes around 3-4 feet
The A340 is like Airbus's version of a 767.
This is A340-600 to be more precise and maybe "Airbus A340-642' to be exact.
beautiful video,well done,
it's painted in hamburg
Porque el tren de aterrizaje antes de tocar el suelo esta inclinado?
And this is only an example of what man kind is capable of.
this song goes perfect with the vid. anyone know what its called?
the A380 has a special glass which is bomb proof its been tested its glass fiber which is 8x stronger than steel
thanks for the vid
in what mannor does this have to do with airbus planes ?
@ikolkyo967 Because it is... the design is based on the A330
wowo AWESOME. Thats is sooo dificult
I love it wooooooooo
Your "experience"? You've been in Airbus crash then? One that was caused by the plane? Do you have anything to back up your assertion that Airbuses are not safe?
it is and i like it -)
wow so one plane carries the other plane's part.....thats like a person delivering another person's leg...
Работал на производстве ту-214 3 года очень сильно отличается методика сборки.
Nice
Interesting to see that at 1:03 to 1:11, the aircraft doesn't have the middle gears yet.
@Inexorable9295 Its called the 747 in list of when the came out, 727 came BEFORE the 737.
727
737
757
767
777
747
cuanto demora el ensamblaje?
@shamk9 so do i if only they would cool down on their competition if only they realized that they are two of the most successful aircraft companies ever
@Bazem2cars its not easy it just looks so from the vid but if you were to build a jumbo jet like that you would never want to do that again
YES,AMAZING!
AIRBUS RULE!!!!!!!!!
nice
I wonder what will happend if boeing and airbus came together and work with eacher other.
