Funny way to calculate epoxy needed! Just calculate volume of the case (LxWxH), calculate the volume of your wood. Subtract wood volume from case volume that will be amount of epoxy you will need. Simple.
You are simply intelligent and a creative mind. From the making of the needed tools to do your project. To the finish of the actual epoxy table. Amazing job man.
Dude you should market that planing sled as a kit. I'd buy it. That's definitely the best one I've seen yet. I really like the frame of it. It looks cool to. Great video!!👍👍
You really put a ton of time and effort into the design and build of this truly gorgeous finished piece, not to mention the production and editing of the video. Speaking of- Thank you for condensing each step into a manageable 30 minute video for numpties like myself! I know a table like this takes literally months of hard work (daily) to get to the finish line. Thanks. Btw that’s an ingenious little router slab device you’ve constructed- when you consider that Woodpeckers sells their Router Sleds for over a $1000 and yours is just as effective for a fraction of the cost: that’s a very clever design indeed! I’ve seen other videos on making DIY Router sleds- yours is brilliant! Simple yet clever! ……..I do have one quick question. I am currently in the process of building my own Rputer sled. I have not seen a Router Slab Bit for your sled as the heavy duty/big/wide yellow one that you have in your Router. Where did you buy this bit? It looks like a 1/2” shank, or is it a 1/4”? Thanks in advance for your help and attention to this question. I also look forward to more of your epoxy table/woodworking videos in the future. Cheers! Scott.
I'm curious. I'm thinking of trying something like this both for a dining table and a desk. With the latter, would you keep it strictly a match with the wood used for the desk top as far as the drawer frame and drawer fronts are concerned, or try to get the epoxy and identical color in? I'm leaning to keeping it just wood so that the accent is on the desk top. Any thoughts?
You have to be careful with melamine. If the epoxy heats up too much during curing, it can melt the vinyl part of the melamine and stick to your project. Tyvek or similar tape avoids this. It may require a little more sanding because of the lapping of the tape can leave a slightly uneven surface. But compared to prying the melted melamine off and then grinding and sanding the rest of it off, I will chose the Tyvek every time. Good luck.
Why can't I find someone who makes a solid RESIN tabletop? Everyone wants to put stuff in it; I just want to see what a pure resin (no adding stuff to make a scene in the resin). I just want a BLUE resin table!!
Looks amazing 😊. But what kind of epoxy is it? Isnt it quite expensive, and what about fumes? Im tought up with epoxy being extremely poisonous, both inhaling it and by touch. But you Seem like you are handling a product thats harmless.
Question: why is it you didn’t feel like you needed to put braces under the table like other TH-camrs do? I agree aesthetically it would look bad on this table because the beautiful transparent epoxy would show them. But apparently (I don’t really know) the wood warps over time. Which seems logical.
step by step, but no narration? board is warped, severely. maybe talk through that so the new ppl to WW can fix their issues when they come across them.
@@diywithgreg What I see is someone who ain't worthy of my time, so keep branding you work if it makes you feel better about yourself. Mr great artist.
Okay no wait a sec. You compliment me on how beautiful the table is, and complain on our branding methods thats not according to your taste. Then all of a sudden im not worthy of your time anymore, sounds like we need to have this conversation once you have grown up.. so let me know once you have.. #(please do continue to comment like a non grown up, because it helps with the TH-cam algorithm) ✌🏻
Congratulations 💐 My brother waoooooooooooooooooo beautiful work ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Man, this table is killer sick beautiful!! LOVE IT!!!!

Stunning. Love the partially translucent blue epoxy.
Great job, to teach online for the welfare of the world 👌👌🙏.
Probably my favourite of your table tops.
You are simply intelligent and a creative mind.

Amazing job man.

This actually isn't a bad idea at all bro. Brand them and slang them to other builders 🙌
Next time I would explain each step verbally as you are building so newbies could follow a little better. Nice work
Sjoe ...dis kwaai.... you are the man... one day I will build my own tables.

Beautiful work
Hi after polishing the epoxy,if I put odies oil on the epoxy, will it make it shinier and scratch resistant?
Хочу дать совет, приварите по краям стола уголки по 1,5м и проведите трос, и перекинуть провод через трос и вам не нодобудет его держать руками.
Well done buddy!
at 9:07 what kind of machine is that? can somebody send a link of something?
what kind of paste do you use for the last layer?
Greg you need better breathing protection and a better track saw! love the videos though
Roy, thanks. This is an older video, you should check out our new videos. Much better 👌🏻
This great work is hard to learn? Can you create a nice table for me ?
Yes I can

Your idea sounds about what we would have done. Sounds good
Killer Job!
Had you put a smaller haphazardly cut piece in the big open space would ve saved the epoxy cost
Great idea, definitely
Awesome work, how much epoxy did you end up using/needing? I am doing abiut same size and am unsure how much i need
Good day Greg. I'd like to know where about are you guys situated? How do we get it touch with you?
South Africa
No se vuelve amarilla con el tiempo?
What is the release wax you use in the mould? I've seen many people using tape instead so wondered if wax gives a better result.

Hi friend good work
What is the *cream* used for polishing? Is it a * polish* ? i am interesting !!

What about under that table? There might be some parts of the wood the epoxy didn´t get so it´s not straight?
Ой гуцалык муцацалык гуцацюнька гуцаца 👍👍👍 !!!!
In a work area with the open doors, how do you keep things from getting in the resin while it is curing?
We have a dust free room

May I ask what you polish the table with?

White melamine

This is amazing!!
Súper waooooii❤
Do you have any plans for the sled for sale?
Do you ever have any issues sanding that high with Rubio? Don't they claim to stop sanding at 180 or 220?
explain how you used length X width X height on an irregular shape OMG
That's brilliant
Which ruter bite use in video?
45 digress chamfer bit
Have you thought about doing a whole wall?
pag magpapa gawa po ng ganyan magkano po aabutin? thank you

Paste wax like car wax?
how much does a table like this cost? good job 💥
Depending on size
The gantry on your sled flexes and the wheels lift up. There's no way that's 100% flat or level.
Sir size , thikness plz tell me
Kolko je trajao citav proces
Muchas gracias 😂
nice, cool job 😘
Good luck
A front door would be cool.
Omg I'd love that
magkano po ang ganyan?
How many gallons did you used for this project
If I had to guess I would say 40 to 50 liters at least I have done many epoxy tables and there was alot of open space on this table...maybe more??
Question: why is it you didn’t feel like you needed to put braces under the table like other TH-camrs do?

Pure artistry. Now please fix the spelling of your call out texts in English. Flattening (not flattning), stabilize (not stable).
Can I, or Hollywood have a room, walls and floor like that please. For a nightclub room in the lounge.🤔
😊❤
Why did you have to ruin it with carving your brand on it ? At least put it on a hidden place.
Does artist sign their work at the back of their art?
@@diywithgreg mate, although it's a nice table, it's still a table. "Art" ? Back to reality plz.
So you only see art as someone that paints something on a canvas?

@22:19 > To do that without a mask is just plain stupid...
sans protection c est du n importe quoi
😂😅
Lol do it yourself it says...
How you can put ...DIY to this is laughable ...
Don't you mean 100% flat and not level? There's a big difference
You're fired.. I'm lookin at that slab wiggle and wobble while you "attempt"to flatten it..
Wiggle wiggle wiggle..
