The raw amount of skill and technique required to be on this level of play is at a point where FPS pro gamers cant even imagine. And it breaks my heart knowing this game has been slowly dying for so long. I pray the "new blizzard" that is being made by all the ex employees can revive this game spiritually.
I've never seen someone throw a game so hard. And it deeply bothers me that Denver wasn't long distance mining for like 15 minutes. He could have made a new hatchery several times over lmao
@@deseanlothian Not originally. There were 5 drones idle for a good portion of that game prior to the spore push and him hunting with an oracle/dt. How on earth we let it get to that is beyond me. He should've just put a bunch of shield batteries on top right rather than sit on 600+ minerals. Would've made the base impossible to be sieged

Why GFB didn't just send a warp prism full of zealots to poke buildings starting at minute 25 and deny viper recharges instead of just running squads into lurkers is an eternal mystery.
Pros prefer to prioritize workers above buildings, because the first are much more easier to kill than the seconds and deal instant dmg to the enemy as it reduces it's ability to produce anything. I agree with you though, pros are sometimes overlooking the strategy of sniping buildings :) The drawback is that it's really micro intensive as you have to manage both your army and the sniping squad. If the opponent is rich or just have a stronger army than yours, which was the case for Denver almost the entire game, he could had just remade the buildings.

Watching Denver's 5 drones just afk for about 20 minutes was nuts. I know they don't give basically any income with that base positioining but it could have added up int he background XD
He also called have gotten a draw by destroying the creep tumors in Denver's main with Oracle reveal, then planting a Nexus there. The active creep tumor would have taken forever to get back to the main, and in that time, Denver could have gone to the other side of the map and planted another Nexus, and so on ad infinitum
Peeps being harsh on GungFu here. He made mistakes, he knew it, and he'll learn from it. Even the best have bad games, and it's a looooooonnngg road to be the best before you start really minimizing the amount of mistakes made.

That wasn't the only time they mis-microed... there were a lot of times where the Protoss didn't target the right thing in battle or took extra shots without answering, there were times each of them were badly out of position. There were a lot of mistakes, some big and some little, that each of them made _and_ got punished for making... It felt like watching a Diamond level game at times. I seen each of them play better than this, that's why I said it felt like they were _both_ having an off day.

Gungfu did everything right except buy a stargate, as protoss, every protoss player needs a stargate and i think thats what lost him the game cuz just have the phoenix to deal with those visionlords wouldve helped tremendously

It’s not that big of a “comeback”. Toss sacrificed a lot of his economy to be aggressive. Even with all that harass, they haven’t distanced themselves so much.
Zerg got stupid spell casters and units overall. Those abducts are too much. Psi storms needs like 2 seconds to inflict the petty full damage and templars are ridiculously slow too.
I don't want to be mean, but it is hard to believe these are consider "pro" player, the amount of mistake and misplay they made it too much to call out.

I think the super smooth pathfinding also plays a role in making this game look so good.
Starcraft always looked pretty good on high settings. I don't think they really had any graphics patch since WoL...

Oracle was camping, even stray zealots could take them out. More a liability than a strength

This is a type of game I would casually have against a friend xD
he could use the DG + prism to quickly jump on tumors and take them out in one hit, if he only took out tumors he would have draw
