@@JonBow_ It has 9 bolts, 3 left, 3 right, and 3 under the windshield. The 3 under my windshiwld are all rusted and stuck, I am now looking to cut them off but hardly any place. Its such a stupid design, like its going to bear the whole weight of the car.
I'm here because Honda can't make plastics that can withstand weakass global warming winters. Ridiculous and if you dont replace shitty cowl pieces, water pools into floors of front seats. I sucked half a littre of water from some rainy driving w my shop vac. Had to dry everything. Might have to rip up carpet if small doesn't go away. Thanks for video!
I'm trying to remove that piece on a 97 Civic I cannot get those little plastic snap pieces out there all the way across and it's different than this picture
Instead of all that plastic pins and tabs that break everytime, why don't the crappy japanese engineering uses fucking screws? The ol' american screws?
Excellent video. I have to do a valve adjustment, so I want to remove my cowl and the metal portion underneath so I can get better access. Thanks.
Was it easy to get the metal away

Oh good lord, I was hoping that this piece is cosmetic. I just had the windshield replaced and they broke the front cowl..
@@eseven2547 nope. If cowl gets chipped, water will bleed through. Sucks cleaning
@@Squee_666_9 same here and I’m making them pay for a new one now.
Think I have this same issue, please let me know if I can contact you for more help
Thanks for the video 👍
What are those clips called ? Part number ? I just got my car and I noticed that they are missing.
It could be worse, I just broke my windshield trying to get the wiper arms off
I have done that before. Don't feel bad. It happens to most of us at some point as we work on our cars.
I need to replace mine too. Sun made it all warped.
At the top there us a gap between the wi shield and the plastic is that normal ?

Screws will rust dan infecting the chassis.
@@arapaimagold8088 screws are still used by the japanese car manufacturers, they don't rust at all. The problem is they are used in other places...
You really shouldn't t have to replace any of this it should last the lifetime of the car in my view.
Poor quality plastics.
Thanks !!!
