Solovair Loafer Review + On Foot

- a quick look at these black Solovair loafers similar to what you have seen Tyler The Creator wearing recently. These are comparable to the Doc Marten Adrian Loafers.

Update after about a month longer of wearing: I am now living in Rome. I find these very difficult to wear on the streets here, as it's a lot of uneven cobblestone. I don't believe these are the best shoe for someone with a slightly wide and flat foot like myself... at least in Rome. After a few hours my pinky toes are rubbed pretty badly and swell up to the point where I'm basically walking with a limp to avoid applying anymore pressure to them. I dont know that going back up a size would help at all.... maybe if i wore special thick socks it could work... but the length on these is right were it needs to be which sucks. I wish Solovair offered a different width option.
So it didn’t stretch that much? A half size down would be better you think?
@@ray_t05 I mean they definitely have stretched some. I used a method where I put on several pairs of socks at once and then used a hairdryer to warm the leaher up so it stretched more. Then took the socks off. It helped a bit. I just think these shoes in general aren't the best for wide feet. However, living in Rome makes it worse. I've come to discover that this city is incredibly harsh on the feet and most people wear only sneakers. I think these will be a lot more comfy back in the States
I’m a size 11 in Blundstone and Doc boots. Good think I read this comment… I, too, have wider feet. Almost pulled the trigger on a pair of 10.5s, but now thinking maybe I should go for 11s?

Bought a pair of Solovair Church boots in Acorn my left little toe sat just where two layers of leather stitched together , ooooh the pain, ended op useing corn plasters
So happy t worked with solovair instead of DocMartens. DOCs are more quantity over Quality

I went to a Noah store and found these after wanting a pair of doc martens Adrian’s and I tried them in and they felt a bit big. I wanted to find a vid of someone talking about them and wearing them and I honestly wasn’t expecting to find one. You don’t realize how helpful this vid is man 😭
Those are nice! I’m torn between the black or burgundy.. the black seems more versatile but most of my shoes are black shoes

Those look nice! I like the design a lot more than the dr martens loafers. 10 months after posting, would you still recommend them/ did you have any problems?
I wouldn't recommend them to people with wide/flat feet. But they are a good quality shoe nonetheless

I just got the YMC Solovair greasy leather loafers and i had the same heel slippage issue and I though of getting a full size down but i was worried about the width. How wide are your feet exactly (in inches or cm) Have these stretched out a lot more at this point?
not sure on the exact width, but they definitely stretched a bit, but they are definitely still pretty tight and not as comfortable as id like them to be.
how would you rate these after 5 months ?
I bought both the doc marten adrian loafers and these because i couldnt decide in the store.
I'll wear them both around the house for the next month since i have 30 days to return them as long as i dont wear it outside..
right now the docs are more comfy, but im reading that long term the solovairs are better.
They've definitely gotten a lot better. In Rome they were really hard because of the cobblestone. I still wouldn't ever wear these on a day of intense walking though. But for causal everyday wear, they are comfy
Which do you like the best? I can't decide which to order. Solovaris are not available in store where I live sadly..
