    A couple of people are confused about the use of the Fanatec USB adapter, yes you can buy one and use them standalone but there is not one included with the pedals.
    Another common question so far is are the TM T-LCM's better? I would say aside from the LC no, the fit and finish of these with the metal pedal faces is much better the the T-LCM's, they feel and look like a toy by comparison, I'm sure once the LC is available the price will be quite close, TBH even if it was a little more I'd still choose these as they look much nicer IMO.

    The pedals look good, hopefully they are the same as the elites for quality. I've heard in Canada that the load cell will be the same price as the stock pedals. So double the price of the pedals for us in canada for a load cell. Keep up the great work Karl.

    • @KarlGosling

    Hi Karl, big fan and watch all your videos but have to mention how critical you were of the T-LCM pedal set due to quality for the price. The folded metal on these new CSLs looks really cheap in my opinion but my main point is that, after adding the load cell and metal pedal faces, surely these and the CSLs will be direct competitors but there isn't a mention or comparison at all. Hope you can do a comparison once the load cell is out.

    • @ezroller2k11
      @ezroller2k11 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Possibly cheaper if you factor in the T-LCM pedals don't need a USB adapter. Forgot to include that. Keep up the good work, love the cat screech as the video ends and fades to black :D

    • @KarlGosling
      @KarlGosling  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly the T-LCM's feel and look like a toy compared to these mate, the build quality and finish is so much better (once you replace the plastic faces of course), once the LC is out even if these were a little more money I would choose them every time.

    First things first.... great presentation and video Karl. BUT I am slightly miffed with Fanatec really. I have their original set of CSL elites with loadcell brake. They have been brilliant. It was my first introduction into loadcell brakes and cost wise it was a no brainer because I could upgrade my pedals by plugging in with USB and keep my G29. So WHY have fanatec made this feature not available with the new set. (only fcan use by plugging into wheel base). I think you could have put more emphasis on this Karl. You basically have to just go with fanatec products now which is a shame. Also, why did fanatec not have the loadcell ready with the launch. Everything at the moment from fanatec seems cheap to begin with but then upgrade the face plate, then loadcell etc and it just seems like they are hooking people in to then charge more. Seems the same with the CSL DD, on the one hand just bring out a 8nm at one price instead of a 5nm base then upgrade to the 8nm. Unfortunately, Fanatec is coming out with some exciting stuff recently but the way they seem to be pushing it out seems a bit disingenuous and like apple. Shame I like fanatec stuff, but the original csl pedals will probably be my last fanatec purchase.

      You don't change it, it does it dynamically per car, just calibrate the wheel in game and enable soft lock.

    €120 yet all the second hand ones I can find are the best part of £300 🤔
    I'm guessing you can't buy them for retail anymore and their demand is outweighing availability, thus driving up price?
    idk just a guess.

      Stock issues again I think mate, there's very little coming from China right now with ports being closed etc. a big portion of the country is in lock down again.

    Crazy how Fanatec can charge half the price of the pedal set for 1 extra pedal.

    If You want to use 3 pedals, whats the point of buying csl?? You need 80$ for gas and break + 40$ for clutch, dunno how much for metal pads, and load cell will cost up to 50$ if not more (since one for csl elite it costs 140$). You can get Thrustmaster T-LMC for around 150-160$ now, all metal build and it comes with load cell build in already. No thanks Fanatec.

      TLCM's aren't all metal construction like these though. I get that the TLCMs are a very functional pedal set but i'd much rater these, they look a lot more finished! Also you don't need to add the price of the clutch when you buy the loadcell as the brake pedal becomes a clutch when you remove the foam for the brake. It will be less than 200 euro for these as a 3 pedal set with loacell, and you can buy extra pedal faces if you want but they aren't forcing you to

      Lol even if it's not all metal, so what. If i am on a budget and i want load cell breaks i'll go for T-LMC, and if i want something better i'll go for elite pedals. At this price point this new CLS makes no sense to me.

      The difference in build quality is night and day mate, the T-LCM's feel like cheap toys compared to these once you remove the plastic faces, even just the fit and finish looks so much nicer... I have both here right now.

    Would you recommend upgrading for these CSL pedals? I currently have the CSL Elite pedals, but I'm having issues with the gas pedal potentiometer. And where can you buy these upgraded metal tuning kit pedals? Can't find them at fanatec.
