Nice reminds me went I built mine and started with a mint shell and a expensive paint job in two pack venetian red and full chocolate brown RS 2000 fishnets etc, and 2.1 pinto on twin 40s and rolltop Bilstein sprung for night events but the car turned out so nice I didn't rally it.
Small wire black section is a fusible link. It’s designed to heat and break if there is an issue. Need to replace it with new one or a fuse not sure what rating it would be , looks good, good work, :)

The one small wire at the end is a fuseable link, it will melt like a fuse if there's a short circuit, I had one fuse on a mk1 fiesta once, the alternator wire had touched the exhaust and melted, 😉👍

Better just replacing the black bit of cable and replace the whole length back to the joint with decent red. If it was being kept as absolute standard I could understand.
Careful you don't scratch the edge of the wing, with those wires.
