I'm not American so I don't celebrate this day but I know it's hard when you are alone on a special holiday. I lost my Mum the day after Christmas three years ago to cancer. Dad and I were there for each other which I suspect made it easier for both of us to cope. I cooked, cleaned, managed the house etc while he looked after his finances and other Dad jobs around tbe house. I found my Dad after he unexpectedly but peacefully passed away in his sleep thirteen months and one day after Mum died on January the 27th. My whole life changed after he died in a lot of ways and I struggled just wanting one more day with him and Mum, it still makes me cry thinking about it. I have my amazing best friend of 35 years (we met when we were 10 at school) and her extended family who have accepted me as their daughter, friend and sister. I am very blessed to have had them in my life for so many years. They automatically told me that I am a part of their family and I will spend the day with them like I did last year. If you are going to be alone on Christmas day and you want a message from a stranger let me know because it's something I like to do which may make people feel less lonely knowing someone has thought of them. It's not much but let me know if you do. 😊

I used to serve my family around every holiday 25 people and they've all shunned me since my husband divorced me 10 years ago. 20 of my best years I gave to my family and I don't regret a moment but unfortunately 1 narsecistic person controls everyone. My x husband. He separated and divided everyone. It's heartbreaking but God said, in the last days families will have division, broken marriages. 💔 children will disrespect their parents. It's not easy to go through this but without God I'd not be doing well. 🙏 I hold onto his promises. God has never left me or forsaken me.

Here in New Zealand we have Waitangi day, Matariki etc. It's horrible to come into the comments section and randomly post a comment discarding another countries traditions. It makes you come off as a bully and yet you put your thoughts under another's comment thread and not as a new comment thread. I suspect you did this because you knew it would get backlash which is cowardly. I hope that you can reflect on this and if only for your own sake realise how negative you are. Shelly...try the Odo Ban fabric spray !! It smells so clean and kills bacteria also. We use it in our wash when we do our bedding and couch covers, it's so fresh !!
We call the no-bake cookies Peanut butter Delight in my family. It is a favorite by all of my kids and grandkids. I know the recipe by heart and everytime my children 38&35 yr old make it they call me for the recipe! We also love Nothing but Bundts! Lemon is my favorite!
I soften butter by putting in the microwave for about 10 seconds on each side just watch it may need more time or it may melt ( ( just enough so it softens but Not melts ( it of course varies on what what wattage your microwave is.😬❤
Lacey, everyone begs me to make pumpkin rolls every year. I have to make about 12 cause friends buy them from me to take to their familys houses. Ive been making them for 20 years and they just get better and better. My family loves them. You do yours like I do mine. I was cracking up when they were asking you about rolling it in a towel lol. I usually do about 3 for my family to keep in the freezer so when someone craves it they can just pop it out of the freezer and slice a piece off. Hope yall had a happy Thanksgiving!!

To soften butter ~ put in microwave for 6 seconds, roll over to next side, microwave 6 seconds, roll over again microwave 6 seconds ~ continue until soft enough. Doesn’t melt it by doing 6 seconds at a time!
Baking hack: Pour hot/or boiled water into a glass and then pour it out! Put the hot glass over the butter to allow it to melt faster! 😉Or just put it in the microwave for about 20 seconds to allow it to soften but not melt!

To soften butter in a hurry. Take a glass drinking glass. And fill it with hot butter. Let the glass get hot. Pour the water out. And cover the butter with the hot glass. Let it set for 1 minute. Your butter will be soft.
Hi Just to inform the best family on TH-cam that I live in the UK and in this country we do NOT celebrate thanksgiving so on the 23rd November I went shopping and tried to get pumpkin pie BUT they do not sell pumpkin pie in tesco or anywhere
I had my first pumpkin chocolate chip cookie yesterday! I had never heard of them before. Kudos to my son for bringing them for Thanksgiving. They were delicious.
I find it funny that you guys call them poop cookies because of what happened the last time my mom made no bake cookies years ago. My mom made them for a bake sale for something I was involved in, she had made several dozen of them and she laid them out on parchment paper on the table we went outside and when we came back in my dog had gotten on the table and eaten 2 or 3 dozen cookies. My mom called the vet because you know “chocolate is poisonous for dogs” we were told that it wouldn’t kill her but it would make her very sick, the next morning we woke up to diarrhea everywhere in the house. It took a few days to get her stomach feeling better and she lived a long time after that she passed away in 2022 at the age of 16.

Just a little fyi. The cookies aren't glutenfree if you use regular oats, you have to use glutenfree oats.

You can put the butter is a ziplock bag and then into a warm bowl of water. Works like a charm.
