    If you combine the lilly brush and a pet rock you will get a 99% of the pet hair out. I'm a detailer as well and I understand how messy it could be, specially on any Jeep (Like that Cherokee you are working on) the cargo liner and carpet is just the worse to work on with pet hair). It takes time and patience but for real, try the pet rock in conjunction with the lilly brush and the result will be a lot better.

  • @johnpolos8796
    @johnpolos8796 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The type of carpet fiber and the fiber on the back of the seats make a HUGE difference in my opinion when removing pet hair as pet hair clings to some material more than others just like in this video and those type of vehicles are a pain in the ass to get really good results lol.

    I use pet stones (pumice stone) then a Tornador or air tool on the whole carpet. The rear trunk area is always a pain in the ass, but I'm able to get 99% out.
    I'll have to look into those Lilly brushes for crevices cause the stones can scratch plastic easily.

This makes me feel a lot better about not getting it 100% because that would literally take 5 hours just to do that one section. Good afternoon sir,
    I understand you have some videos on starting a car detailing business. However, I would really love to hear your thoughts on some other information regarding starting you business.
    1) Most business owners get permits and insurance etc for your business. For people starting out is this a step you recommend? Or should people try and start by getting car details from friends and family and friends or friends of the family etc...
    Regarding all the insurance etc it creates a cost increase and for people just starting out it can make it difficult to really break even or profitable. Just my opinion. Now I did have a car cleaning business a few years back and I would make about $300 a day and split it between me and my 3 buddies even and we did it for months and insurance information never came up or permit.
    2) How did you start your car detailing business? You may have a video for this I’m new to your channel.
    Great channel also 😁

    • @chetyoung7409
      @chetyoung7409 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That’s a great question. I own a detailing business (Easy Shine Intl. Mobile Detailing) too. I don’t think the insurance is very important in the beginning stages. In the beginning you’re probably not going to detail high end cars so you should be able to get away without insurance. I do suggest forming a LLC (Limited Liability Company) to separate your business assets from personal assets while protecting yourself from personal liability. For example, if you damage someone’s car and you don’t have money to pay for the repairs and they decide to sue your company, they cannot go after your personal assets (things you own). Furthermore, open a business checking and savings account and be sure to ONLY USE IT FOR THE BUSINESS to make sure you keep the LLC protection. Keep a business emergency fund just in case you damage someone’s car. Just use common sense when detailing and be careful.
      When you become a profitable business then you can look into general liability insurance. General liability insurance isn’t very expensive depending on where you live. I’ve been detailing for years and nobody ever asked me to see any kind of insurance. However, if you want to detail fleet of vehicles for some companies, they may ask for your EIN, Business License, Proof of Insurance, etc.
      I started my business washing cars at my apartment complex. I had a wagon with water, a power pack, a 12 volt vacuum, microfiber towels, super clean degreaser, air fresheners, brushes, etc. (I purchased everything from Walmart, Harbor Freight and Burlington Coat Factory). Then I bought more professional tools like a pressure washer and foam gun and started traveling around Little Rock, Arkansas in my wife’s Honda Fit. Now, I have a Chevy Express with everything in it! All of this happened within 1 year of forming my LLC. You will be surprised how much progress you will make in a couple of months! Leverage Google and social media to grow your business.
      Just get started! Don’t get caught up with analysis paralysis (thinking yourself out of taking action). I hope this helps. If you have anymore questions, feel free to contact me at easyshineintl@gmail.com Cheers!
      THIS IS NOT LEGAL ADVICE AND THIS IS JUST MY OPINION AND SUGGESTIONS.

But I was wondering on the back area that was 90% if the customer was not satisfied and was willing to pay extra for your time do you think you could have hit it with the drill brush and pet hair brush a bit more like you just got there and started from the beginning again would you have been able to improve on it or was it as good as it could possibly be and if the customers not satisfied do you suggest offering a discount or $ off the next job they buy or do you keep working for perfection and not charge for more time. How do you handle an unhappy customer. Do you just say it’s what it is and I won’t work for you again? Or do you believe in the customer is always right and do all you can to keep them happy? I did an older Wrangler a couple weeks ago with cloth seats and a similar short hair dog....man, what a mess. I made the mistake and missed a section to loosen and you are 100% right, it makes a huge mess when you have to go back again. Nice job! I bought an Aqua Pro based on your several months of use and it seems to be holding up well. Excited to get it going soon.

  • @discerningmind
    @discerningmind 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    This would have gone so much better if the first process using the drill brush you had held a powerful shop vac hose nest to the drill brush. That would have captured the bulk of the hair and dust easing things for you from that point. Also, at the end there was still hair remaining this should have been finalized with a masking tape roller brush. I suggest you think deeper into what you're doing as I see you had a lot more work than needed to be. I'm offering this as help, not criticism.
