December in South Florida: WP Franklin Dam and Lock (Campground)

It's early December in south Florida, the best place in America to escape the winter weather, so it was off to WP Franklin Campground, an Army Corps of Engineers (COE) beauty on the shores of the Caloosahatchee River and the Okeechobee Waterway. Arguably one of the best campgrounds in Florida, and one of three COE parks in the state, we had a wonderful week, with great weather, sensational sunsets, and sublime beauty everywhere we looked.
Only 10 miles from Ft Myers, WP Franklin is a perfect place to drop anchor and recharge your internal batteries. Join us as we explore the area and bask in the warm Florida December sunshine!
