FANTASY: If someone comes up with a franchisee for Mahabharata with funding in the scale of MCU .. I imagine how many wonderful series will we see 1 move for building each character- karna , Duryodhan etc - and portraying no one as good or evil - just showing the character arc 😍
I believe in SS Rajamouli 😌 he did say that he's gonna make a series of movies based on the Mahabharata over a period of a decade.

India is basically a combination of various countries that have different cultures and languages put together to form a single nation. We have 28 states and 8 union territories, each with their own unique cultures and languages. Each of these places have atleast 10-20 fictional mythological stories and also real historical stories to tell the world. The amount of possibilities in the world of Indian storytelling, is absolutely mind-boggling.
No Ranbir, No Alia, No Big B, The only reason I'm gonna watch this for is Ayan and his Vision. Can't wait!

This story has taken inspiration from ancient Indian text, but overall it's fictional. There is nothing as Vanarastra, Jalastra, Nandiastra etc. in the texts, not to my knowledge.
However, there are many other more intriguing astras, like
1. Naryaniastra - A weapon that shoots arrows(or beams) from all direction, and grows stronger if resisted. Also, just like Thanos, in each sweep it kills half of the army. The only way to escape from it is to lay down all weapons, and show complete submission.
2. Pashupatastra - Most powerful weapon of Shiva. It couldn't be used against lesser enemies. Only Ram in Ramayan, and Arjun in Mahabharat were the 2 humans who could summon it.
3. Brahmashirastra- 4 times as powerful as a Brahmastra
If I am not wrong there is jalastra. Maybe we are exposed it to as Varunastra- the Astra that brings rain.
There is also vayuastra.

If this is a triology, and the first one is called Shiva, then I have no doubt the other two will be Brahma and Vishnu.
No, this trilogy is inspired from hindu mythology but they won't show any God here, so in this movie trinity will be comprised of Fire, Water & Wind and one movie each fir Fire Astra, Water Astra & Wind Astra. I am wondering why are they not showing an Astra for Bhumi (Earth) and Vyom (Space) because all these five together control this whole universe.

I'm feeling happy and amazed seeing specially Rick's Excitement about the future of Indian Cinema coming to a Global level... Hope this does happen! We might be making shitty masala movies in the past which no one liked but now the pure cinema and story telling has taken over... Hope every director in Indian Cinema (all of the woods) follow this trajectory for global acceptance. 🌎❤️
It feels so good to see people abroad appreciating something like this realizing the true potential of Indian Cinema while there are some stupid people in our country that are hating on this movie. If this one does well(which I desperately hope it does), it will open the doors to a lot of VFX or CGI driven storylines in Indian Cinema and who wouldn't want that. In addition, Rick sir made a great point about RRR being the 'Opener' for films to come after it as the people overseas that have watched RRR would definitely want to see more such epic movies coming from India and Brahmastra screams 'EPIC'!
If possible, please make an interview happen with team "Brahmastra" cause that would be 'EPIC' too.

Exactly Rajkumar Rao had much greater struggle compared to SSR he was still starring in extremely low budget films even after winning National Award for Best actor due to lack of producers giving him good projects... compared to him SSR was getting work as a lead regardless how his movies flopped at the box office.

We Indians don't know and value our culture but India is the main point from which the whole world has been gathering things. The consciousness emerged from our land and many great sages and books have originated from our land.
They actually made a fuctional storyline for the astras here and it has a base in ancient hindu scriptures called Puranas and itihasas.
This film will be purely fictitious but I hope they make some movies with solid budgets on Histories like Mahabharata and Ramayana.

Big difference b/w Brahmastra & RRR. People watched RRR thinking it's so stupid that you'd have fun - that's why they liked it. On the other hand, Brahmastra has a story & logic to it. His films have no head or toe to the story, but casuals get fooled easily by seeing the amount spent on cartoon level vfx to make that average story to look larger than life. Hello everyone, I hope you are all well. I am just going to share some important information with you regarding movie “Brahmastra”. Guys the movie is Anti-Hindu, I don't know whether many of you know but few days ago a special screening was held for Brahmastra where Shah Rukh Khan, SS Rajamouli and other respected artists of both South and North have attended. One of the attendee is a relative of mine who has seen the movie and came out without giving any feeback to both the director nor any of the cast due to the fact that the movie contained so many Anti-Hindu elements. He also mentioned the role that Shah Rukh Khan was portraying in the movie was refused by many artists due to it's anti-hindu nature, so Shah Rukh Khan stepped in to do the role as he is not very religious. The attendee has also told me the sole purpose of the movie was to create a cinematic universe only to gain fame and position like the Marvel Universe, not to promote Hinduism in it's true essence. Guys religion should not be used as a tool for entertainment and making money, in our country religion holds a very dinstinct and a respectful position, why are we allowing Bollywood to make money of it, especially when religion is being utilised to create stories that are fiction and has nothing to do in promoting religiosity. Avoid watching Brahmastra in cinemas as it will only encourage the writers/directors to make more movies that promote Anti-Hinduism, we must come together and put a stop to these kind of movies that hurt our sentiments and promote Anti-Hinduism to a global level. I leave the rest to you.
'Brahmastra' which emerged from 'Brahmansh' should exist in today's world because We can certainly do good things from it to save world. Such as ' Sadarakshnay Khalunigranay ' which is motto of Indian Police Services.
If Mahabharat is made by first building up different characters in different movies and with a good budget of marvel level then i am telling you the talent that indians possess, Mahabharat will be the greatest movie of all time visually as well as with epic story 🙏
