A couple of things that have worked for me: Bed rug to insulate the floor and sides. Made a big difference. I build a cabinet on one side that could be removed in a few moments. I use a cot also with a good camp pad and it works great. I can break it down and store it very easily and keep most of my true bed for mountain/road bikes.Simple really is the best way to go. The reflective also made a big difference for me. Got a shower that works out of a dry bag that does the trick. Keep us posted on what you do.
3 Gallon Stockpot is all I use for shower. I just heat it up on stovetop or coals from fire. I use privacy fold out tent. A cup works well for but you can buy the digital shower usb rechargeable if you want. Works great 3 gallons is plenty.
Hey, great set up, I’ve been looking for cots that will fit in the bed of my ford F150, 6’5” but can’t seem to find anything. What is the name of the cot that you use in your truck?
The cot is a "Stansport Ridgeline" It is exactly 76" long. I honestly cant remember where I bought it, was years ago. Looks like many of the newer ones are 80-86" though.
Well I cant trade any cats in now to get to the point, so very sorry to inconvenience you with this free content. Next time I record a video I will make sure to keep your advice in mind. Thanks for watching, even if you did have to skip ahead.
@RatherBeWheeling yes sad to say, Chevy 1500 went to crap in 2015 never liked Ford switched to RAM 1500 2019 model so far so good. But these new turbo 6 cylinder engines will not last towing so I guess my next jump is to V-8 3/4 ton
Hey thanks for watching! If you have any suggestions or comments on truck camping setup post them up, I would love to hear them!

Awesome Job! No fluff or BS, right to the point…….
Makes sense. Saves weight, keep your truck available for truck stuff! 😊
Thanks for this - really helpful information for me. I love keeping things simple.

Are you near Tn?
no, other side of the country.
Yeah, the Recalls for Toyota make me want one, not.
Yeah, that's why I bought an older one. Most newer vehicles are not made to last, or perform to customer standards but to meet federal "regulations".
