Imagine your just swimming, and a creature that is the size of an entire alien spaceship, swims twords you with a raging boner
Doubt it. He knew something was there (human) but considering how often they roar and the sheer effect of it it may be a way to 1 alert others of it's presence getting rid of competitors and or 2 a hunting strategy since if it was real it's roar woild easily paralyze or kill anything in it's vicinity.
To me it is the hunting part. You may somehow avoid it but it's roar is something you cannot shield yourself from.

I think you will enjoy the aquatic predator (scp) just getting it described to you causes you to get pulled into the water. Even if it is just a glass of water. You get transported straight to a leviathan big enough to munch on whales. You may survive. Or not. The entire universe regarding scp's is quite interesting.
