Her breaking character was the funniest part of the whole thing. I couldn't stop laughing because she couldn't!!

Nope, it was in dress rehearsal that she first saw it. It's even on video.
I get that they freak out when they break character, but when they do, it makes the skits a lot funnier. Nobody in the audience thinks they're bad skits when this happens and everybody appreciates it more. It's great in the press too, as this clip shows. :)
This just in Heidi is human!! Personally, I absolutely love when something is so funny that the cast can't keep it together. It makes the skit funnier and the show fun.
What people miss that made it 10x funnier is butthead looked at her almost expecting her to laugh then looked around in the crowd to see what she was laughing at😂😂😂

The skit would have been funny no matter what... but Heidi's inability to keep it together amplified the humor by 10!
When a cast member, especially one who pretty much never breaks like Heidi all of a sudden can't keep it together, I don't know what it is, but it really does make the skit so much better! Like we know this is their job, but when they can really laugh like this while working, it really does show that what they did is really funny and I'm glad they're able to enjoy work like this

Like how could u not laugh at Ryan lol. They looked so funny and like the characters they were portraying. Great skit and her laughing made it better. They all cracked!
The funniest thing is that Heidi is extremely professional. It's not like she was making it on purpose.
She works on a sketch comedy show. She ruined the skit.
What Mikey did was evil LOL, the look he gave Heidi right at the moment she turned around to see him, it was amazing. She did do her job, the sketch went from being funny to an SNL classic.
I didnt know that was a prosthetic, i thought mikey was just doing that

Heidi has very, very rarely been funny, at all. The Beavis and Butthead skit had the potential to be funny, if Heidi had been able to do her job and play the straight role (anyone remember Jane Curtin)? So, it was funny for her, but she basically ruined the skit. I don't care if she enjoyed it. SNL sucks so badly, that she should at least be suspended.
I guess Heidi never saw the Carol Burnett show. The bust-ups and the breaking of character were the best part.
