Sidebar: I recently went to Walmart to charge my EV and strolled through the store - as I NEVER shop Walmart. I was absolutely stunned by what I saw; row after row and shelf after shelf of portable space heaters from at least four or five different manufacturers. What does this tell you? 1. People are scared shitless that they won’t have heat from their utility companies...OR be able to afford it. I was looking to see if any such devices were on the market for my EV/camping exploits. Only to find this absolutely crazy reality for what I can only assume is a very scared lower income population, during VERY uncertain times. This REALLY made me think SERIOUSLY about doing a little basic “prepping,” as virtually EVERY economist I follow says that we are about to enter the worse financial (banking collapse) since the Great Depression. For what it’s worth...
As a new first time EV owner, who does a lot of camping and outdoors excursions, I am looking for a solar paneled back up storage/charger for simple luxuries like a mini-coffee maker or space heater that can be powered with portable solar unit rather than using my EVs V2L battery function. If I’m out in the back country I don’t want to you my battery if possible. Any recommendations?
John, you are a great analysist. When you do a review of a device that continually shuts off with a power tool restart, tell it like it is. Do not give it a positive review and be "satisfied" if you aren't. If I were to buy one and then plug my power tool in with a 100' extension cord, each time it shuts down I would have to walk 200' to reset it. Be more realistic about your reviews and you will get a lot more subscriber. Good Luck John!
Thanks for the feedback. I am satisfied with this device. Being able to run power saws at all (even with having to reset it) makes it outperform many other brands. A good number of portable power stations of similar size cannot run a table saw/chop saw at all. I have tested several that won't even get the saw started.
Black Friday time US on Amazon is $459 bucks right now as of November 19th 2024.
VERY timely. Thanks.

🙋♂️THX JON FOR SHARING THIS 🔋🔋🔋
It seems like there is a market for devices that "smooth" the spike in power draw from devices upon startup.
Is the car socket just an input for the car to charge it or is it also an output?
How do you monitor the voltage of the battery and solar panel. i don't see it on the screen.
Well done

Does this have a Bluetooth app?
Does it have an inverter for solar panel charging?
Yes, Purea supports solar charging with a 600W max input, and you can fully recharge it in 1.4 hours using AC+ solar hybrid charging
