  • @elizabetheventing3827
    @elizabetheventing3827 5 ปีที่แล้ว +30

    The second mare was not the quietest horse of all of them, but I could definitely see her potential with some consistent work 😍 she’s still young but she backed off the big fences nicely enough and has a quick jump to her as well as appearing to be balanced for the most part. I could definitely see her doing well in some bigger classes 🥰
    But if you weren’t looking for a project i liked last one. Very lovely, adjustable, and athletic. Not sure why but I wasn’t feeling the gray mare 😂❤️ we all have preferences though and I’m excited to see who you choose!

      iLoveDogs Abunch is torn on the second horse. I feel like it’s the most athletic but I can’t tell if it’s flaws are from training or of they’ve tried to train the flaws out and that’s all that’s left of them. Hard to tell from a video if she seemed teachable.

The second one seems more green and hot headed, but he has personnality and a powerful jump. The third, I looove her flat work and has a ground covering canter! Personally, I think the seven year old would be my choice. You already have Gabbana who is a longer strided type but she doesn't seem to have the speed making her good for the big classes, but not the speed classes. The seven year old I think would be excellent for speed classes and that way you would have one of both in your string.

  • @TheFatBlackCob

    I personally loved the 7 year old. Looked super keen and I gotta admit I'm a sucker for mares with a unique personality. Looks like a firecracker waiting to be released. Not as much training on the flat as the other but i feel like she has the most potential in the jumper ring. The other seem more like equitation or hunter horses to me at least. But it always depends on what your looking for.

  • @BalooBear-ee
    @BalooBear-ee 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I think the second mare is severely underrated. She loves her job and has the speed and agility to win a fast round all while being careful. Definitely needs some schooling, but wow, she'll win you prize money without a doubt. The only thing that bugs me about all three of these horses is the lack of elasticity in the hind end over taller fences. I'd say they are roughly around the 1.10-1.30 max. Not sure what you're looking for, but if you're looking to advance beyond the 1.30 mark like Gabby, I'm not seeing it in this bunch. If I am wrong and just can't see it from the videos, than I would bet my money that you will progress further with the second mare in this grouping. But of course, that's just my two-cents ;)

    I don’t know if it was just me, but you and that grey really clicked! She’s gorgeous, very patient, honest and has a good eye on her. You and her were made to ride together!
    The second horse I’d say still needs a lot of work - but she looks like she has a lot of potential! Again, a very gorgeous horse.
    I also think the third mare is amazing! She has a gorgeous jump and a good eye.
    You look incredible on every one of those gorgeous mares, but I have to say, that grey suited you! She’s very willing, forgiving and you and her both adjusted so well to each other. Even when you had a little blip over one of the jumps, she was honest and resilient and gave it another shot. She wasn’t really spooked at all!! I think with a lot of love and training, you two could jump higher and be the best fit out of them all!

    First one looks like she’s got amazing power behind her for bigger classes as she’s nice and compact (gives me ISH vies and I love that). First bay looks thoroughbredy but I feel like because she’s slightly more green looking you could work her into a horse you really fit with, and no doubt she’s a change from big cruising gabanna so it would add more variety to your jumping team. The second bay looks like your type to ride, although a strange beat to the canter, I think she is the knee jerk response. Three amazing choices though, respect your decision 100%, they could all be totally different to ride than what they look

    Loved that first grey mare. Are you gonna trick us again and not put the horse you choose in these “trying horses” videos? 😂😂

    I'm partial to the 9yo grey, personally. I like her build and movement despite that one bad take-off. The 7yo bay was a bit more spicy, for sure, but you may prefer that. I'm sure you could handle (and improve) any of them though!

    The first mare is lovely, the two of you looked so synchronized, you and the second mare didn’t seem in sync as a pair, but she looks very athletic and forward which is great, and the 3rd mare has such nice coloring and she brings a certain presence about her, she seems level-headed and honest.

    I liked the grey a lot, the bay a little and LOVE the light bay. Seems that she would do well for dressage too if you were wanting to event again.

    The last bay was so floaty at the flat and her jump was so beautiful! The gray was so patient and looked so adjustable. I’d be torn if I had to make that decision

    You seemed to get along well with the grey mare, you were able to lengthen and shorten her stride when needed. Really like the first one😍

    I loved the last two! Grey mare didn't have as nice of a jump as some of the others did.

    Something I didn't love about the second mare (the bay) was how when she got disunited and cross cantered she didn't really quickly herself try to rebalance and fix her legs, I don't think her disuniting is the biggest problem because with training that should improve but personally I like a horse that thinks on their feet (quick on their feet) and sorts themself out (with the minor things). I don't need the horse to do all of my work for me, not at all, but I like riding horses that try to have themselves sorted.

    I love the grey mare at the beginning. The next bay mare looks a bit too petite and hot for you. The third mare is lovely as well, reminds me alittle of Urano in the movement. But I think the grey mare would be the best for you!

    @kathrynschaller8875 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Ok, I personally am in love with the grey, but I can see that the second bay is 100% more your style. Strangely, she reminds me of a mix between Urano and Gabanna.

    Gorgeous gorgeous horses 💜 I liked the second nine year old. The first one kind of lost me when she took that weird stumble distance when there was obviously one more stride left. It makes me strangely more confident that even though you're an amazing rider that you still have a trainer. No one is a perfect rider and I wish people at the University I go to would realize this. Beautiful riding and I hope you find a new horse to thrive with!

      Sara Harrison every horse makes mistakes - you can’t expect them to make every stride. She recovered excellently and didn’t have a tizzy or buck or anything. If she’d done any of those I’d agree with you, but as she remained calm and kept going I just think it was a miscommunication.

    I liked the two older mares (the gray and the last one). Maybe it’s just because they’re a couple years older, but they seemed more comfortable and happy with their job. I think my favorite was the last one, her expression and way of going was so cute and she seemed very sweet.
    Also, I love that you look at mares almost exclusively! So many people only want geldings, but I think there’s nothing better than a good mare!

    I love the 2nd one (young bay) because it’s a type of horse we don’t see you on often and with her potential and your amazing horsemanship I think she’d be super competitive, the last horse was totally you though lol ❤️ how are all these horses confirmations?

    The grey mare and bay mare at the end seemed to really click with you!! The second mare was also reeeeally nice, just depends if that kind of ‘hotness’ is your type of ride I think! But the other two seemed really rideable!

    I know the grey was beautiful, but something about that second mare...... was speedy, maneuverable, jumped high and didn't spend a lot of time in the air (though she looks a bit more difficult to ride on a glance) - she seemed to have so much heart for some reason. The grey mare moves kind of like Gabana (beautifully of course). What are you looking for in your next horse Lauren?
