Just a tip at the beginning of the battle have your archers in front untill the enemy’s infantry begins to get close then retreat then behind your infantry they can’t get shots in early on because of being behind the troops

he probably lost because of that, he had only infantry against enemy infantry + archers and got wiped

I remember playing warband, I'd usually let my warriors stay back while I slaughter 30-40 enemies while riding a horse. Its easy if your enemy has no cavalry

1:19 they start firing. Hard to see, but their hands are moving. They look like maybe 2nd tier archers tho, so they don’t seem to be doing much damage. That and their own guys are in the way how he had them set up, thankfully he saw that so he had them move. They won’t fire through their own people. Friendly fire is always on lol.
Archers should have the enemy in his visibility to shoot. Those Inf are blocking their view and so Archers were not able to shoot
The only time archers behind infantry work is if the archers are elevated above them. Other than that just put archers in front and when they get too close send your infantry through then F1 f4 the archers

It’s funny but people assume the archers should stay behind the front line, incorrect unless they are up a hill, always have the archers in front and charge your infantry with shield wall about 5 seconds before the enemy skirmishers throw their pilas or javelins to soak up that, then as soon as the walls meet each other go back into line. You won’t find your archers doing fuck all anymore. Took me a while to realise.

Joshua Phillips 🤷🏻♂️🤦♂️ sitting behind a screen and reading something online don’t make you a god strategic in real life bum you really think line up troop and shoot arrow call a strategic just to funny more like you try to kill your man lol Roman line up or whatever there shield wall didn’t work on Viking when it got smash, it a game you say however you see work in a game what mount and blades need is a zone out mode and be able to control troop in 3D or move then all as you want in just a few second that call you have full control in the battle in a game but yeah in real life you have sergeant or your lieutenant to commend the other troop but here in the game you can’t so best option for it to be more realistic you need to zone out n control then like a total war game as a developed They probably should always make sure there a sergeant in each units If the sergeant dead then that when the troop retreat even is just a 500 vs 500 that pretty big for one commender also that why the AI so stupid because they don’t follow what you commend them when you say charge it lock on the enemy even there a gate to walk in they still try to go through the wall lol but whatever it game.

1:13 always put your archers on the hill or higher place than what your infantry are because they will block the view of the archers. The archers could easily take out many of the enemy before they even reach your troops :D

One thing I've noticed is that you never gave your archers the order to fire at will, if you had given that order your archers would've fire further and faster

This game needs the backspace function like in warband to access map and direct troops
I think they purposely didn’t add that so it feels more immersive like you’re in the field.
@@JM-tp8if it's really difficult for one person to control the whole battle. realistically there were sub-commanders. The problem is that the AI is too stupid to rely on as a sub-commander so the game needs one person to control the whole army. To make up for the lack of sub-commanders, there should be a backspace function like in warband.

When I was going over the south towns I really was having fun with the battles there compared to the normal forest ones over and over.

Most legendary and epic battles in this game always comes out of Khuzaits.
They always declare war on you when you are in a war so that't why I hate them and kill every lord.

Never seen this game before but I'm hooked.
Use spearmen to bait the enemies and have thousands of archers behind your lines. Very basic and very effective.
IDK if your an KING/Sultan or a HIGH ranking Lord but they should add an in-game royal guard to protect you they follow you everywhere like an actual royal guard highly skilled cavalry and infantry also for non-combat scenes like walking around the courtyard etc. I would really like that.
Not for non-combat scenes, but a royal guard is totally an option on the battlefield.
U can choose one guy that automatically follows u in a town (from party menu just place that companion highest up to follow u) and u can gather your other companions to follow you as well. As for in battles, you can just make a separate formation of like 2-6 elite cavalry and set them to follow

If I would've put the archers on the hill where I was at, only the 1st line would've shot. Because the archers behind wouldn't see the enemy. :|

@@SergiuHellDragoonHQ if you have large amounts of archers like that, always divide into two groups and place them on opposing high grounds, the crossfire would've killed 1/3 of the enemy line before they met yours

Freedom Toys just press f7 during the battle
AI needs a bit of change. I found that they charge loosely and not in formation. Best units I have found thus far is an entire 300+ army of horse archers. They shred the enemy before the enemy even gets close and if any group of units get close you can charge them and they will do the circle of death around the units. You can take on up to 1 to 5 vs AI.

I've watched videos of AI using formations, hiding on forests, using the terrain and etc, so I guess it got better
@@dylanram4653 Hi I meant the computer AI, when they attack you their infantry did not advance, but simply ran ahead shields down and getting mowed down. Not sure if this is really much better now since I use a few mods which might change the AI behaviour.

It is pretty dope. Its in early access rn so there are some balance issues etc. But that also means its going to get better as time goes on. Until then though there are many great mods.

B. Infantry charges 1st, it focuses the fire on them while cavalry smashes the enemy at the back. The main collision has to happen.
