About World's Deadliest:
World’s Deadliest Predators is a new series that looks at most riveting moments of animal predation, breaking down the struggle for survival and supremacy into five action-packed episodes. Top Hunters focuses on the most feared animals in their class: animals at the top of their food chain; the hunters who are prey to no other animal. Killer Packs illustrates when predators multiply their advantage over prey by banding with others of their species to hunt. Lethal Weapons shows that the physical attributes and built-in concealed weapons have the ability to make an animal a top predator. Our Superpowers episode focuses on the animals that see, hear, and smell better than any others…and that relative to their size on are the fastest and strongest creatures on the planet. And whether it is over food, territory or sex, animals go to war within their species and against other species…Battles dissects these conflicts, from the strategy to the play-by-play. These five episodes bring together dozens of species, which are extraordinary, savage, and the World’s Deadliest Predators.

It makes airplane sounds when it dives? Awesome!
The best part is they can’t decide if they want it to sound like a jet or a propeller plane. So they do both😂
Lmao

@@ENn0ble lmao true
Seriously people who take these kinds of footage are so unrecognized.
Yep, it takes days, even weeks, staying in the wild and taking thousands of videos and pictures. Truly a remarquable job.
Indeed, this kind of work is grueling. Also consider a lot of it is shot on telephoto lenses, which means they need to keep track of the birds flying in mid air with incredible precision.
yes....cos they are always behind the camera....lol
supersesqui Was that intended as being sarcastic ? Because yes, they are indeed always behind the camera. They have to sleep in tents in the wild.
Crepaul Cog
no it was a joke.......look it up in dictionary...lol
There are a few Peregrine Falcons around my house, occasionally you will see them take a pigeon out like a bolt of lightning.
Seriously, the pigeon will be there one second and a puff of feathers the next.
+Plank 2x4 You should try to record it!
Yes, please record Ty
I got to see one that completely decapitated a pigeon.
I saw one hit a duck once. It was dead before it even started to fall to the ground.
I have a pair of red tailed hawk's nesting in a eucalyptus tree on the back of my property, and crows nesting in the massive pine in front. One day a hawk got one of the crows. The crow's wings were ripped right off, the body dropped, then carried away to the hawk's next. Brutal, yet amazing.
Pigeons have a top speed of 92 MPH, impressive for a tiny bird that walks on the ground for most of the day.
That speed can only be achieved by some of the top breeds of racing pigeons and not every pigeon.
True! There were not without reasons why Pigeons were used as messenger birds.
I doubt the Pigeons hanging around McDonald’s can do that, it would probably die from a heart attack.
@@coltizz due to the speed or the macdonalds?
@@misterlister-wm2tj both
they were on the verge of extinction years ago and im so happy we were able to keep them alive. peregrine falcons are such fascinating raptors, and that footage was really good
No, not really, they were about to be extinct only in US and Canada due to some chemical usage,
These are found in every continent except Antarctica
Are these birds... dive-bombing?
With... with plane sounds?!
Lmfaooo
Kaisergun Nice Quad-chin
Suicide bomber birds
+Kaisergun Didn't JonTron say that? lol
Indeed he did :)
The Peregrine Falcon uses Launch Control reaching 0-60 in 3.2 seconds. The true Bugatti of the animal kingdom. 😂
chuckie14469 cheetah does 0-62 in 3 second on land so cheetah is way better
cadillacphxful I think you're soooooo right... A Bugatti is useless if not in a runway. Try taking turns with it at more than 50 km/h. The Veyron needed a 90 km long track to set a speed record. That's just stupid
Cheetah reaches 0-61mph in 3 seconds
Absolutely..... its not bird its an speedo killer
Boost by wing
2:00 that pigeon literally crapped itself.

Peregrine Falcon used Aerial Ace!
It's super effective!
Pigeon is dead!
CJCroen1393 Talonflame used Brave Bird! Pidove fainted!
CJCroen1393 it used it's special move
CJCroen1393 fainted*
+TheDuffyGMER64 I like it, but I still think it should be Aerial Ace. Recall the way it's described: "The user confounds its opponent with speed then slashes. This attack lands without fail."
I think Dragon Ascent matches it much better "After soaring upward, the user attacks its target by dropping out of the sky at high speeds"
That’s almost 300 feet per second. This is a living bullet.
Another interesting little fact is those two little "nubs" sticking out of the top of the Peregrine's beak serve a functional purpose. They stop air from over-filling the Peregrine's lungs while it's diving, and without them, the Peregrine's diving speed would fill their lungs with so much air so fast that their lungs would literally explode.
@@gamester512 Shame the narrator didn't cover this information. Kids now-a-days will fashion only the hunting part and not care about the science behind it(the knowledge you gain from it).
@@gamester512 that's legitimately so cool. Evolution is amazing! Why do the nubs not stop airflow when the falcon is flying normally though?
@@gamester512Aren't the engines of planes patterned from this mechanism?
@@EvilSapphireR I do not know for sure, but my guess is that they simply reduce the flow of air into the lungs rather than stopping it completely.
200 miles an hour, man that's scary, what a furious catch, nature's skills are always great
ah so that's who' has been stealing my messages and why my pigeons haven't been coming back.
That is what the British did with falcons in WWII.
Lmao 😂
Yes, this Wicked Bird has been intercepting and reading your mail. I am the ultimate hacker.
"the peregrine can RECALIBRATE and switch to method 2" x'D
I love how the narrator speaks in a manner as if the peregrine is some kind of supercomputer avine cyborg xD.
😆...
Their brains can process information much faster than human. For them anything below 100 fps flickers, fot humans anything below 60 flickers. They can spot prey a mile away. Their vision is eight times better than ours. Can you see pigeon or rabbit mile away? They can see same colours we humans see and they can also see ultraviolet. Can you?
@@UltraCasualPenguin wow, thanks for the info bro
@@UltraCasualPenguin Only their far vision is probably more than 8x better than us, but short vision is as good or worse than humans.
They can come up to 240 m/ph. it depends on the wind, air temperature and of course skills of the falcon. Awesome animal!
actually 390 km/h
thats crazy, like no animal or bird can outrun that

well if the falcon with about 300 km/h will hit you in the head. i think you still be quite dead.
StalkingHawk That's not too unlikely. Though I wonder about the falcon's survival, were it to do that.
Mitja Kocjancic yea
i get chills everytime i see a Perregrine stoop. love this bird so much
Peregrine Falcon is the real F-16 fighting falcon.
I don’t know about anyone else but to me, these are the most amazing predators on earth. I want to get into falconry, most places you can’t own these birds because it’s not their habitat, but I live in Washington state and there’s a lot of them here, especially in eastern Washington, so it’s legal to own one. I can’t imagine seeing them do this in person.
Fun fact: the peregrine falcon in Japanese language is the "hayabusa" and the Japanese company Suzuki makes the hayabusa motorcycle 🏍💨 (aka the GSX1300R) which holds the record for fastest production motorcycle in the world.
Falcon did 1809 damage in 1 hit [ret]

I really love the eyes of predators such as this falcon, eagles, the pantheras.
Falcon: Tries to play normally but loses
Falcon: **Toggles speed hacks**
it can dive at a speed of : 242 mph
the cheetah only has a speed of:75mph
Cheetah isn't using gravity though
i often find that i enjoy animals and plants , even rocks , over most people.

+irAte irishman I know what you mean, sir.
yep! ahaha
irAte irishman So true my friend.
Absolutely same here
watching this in 2024
..and?
Likewise
I always thought they just hit the target at that speed but if you watch closely they just dive to the level of the pigeon and then level with it and go on a normal straight chase. It makes more sense as I was wondering how they perform a 250mph impact.
the pigeon would explode andI want to see that clip.
@@chriscotton4207
But it needs to hit straight on the pigeon first, which is tricky
Imagine the anxiety of the poor pigeon running from the fastest animal on the planet lol, like I would NOT want to be in that pigeon's shoes.
Now i understand why Suzuki named its bike after this Falcon, The legendary HAYABUSA
I love this species, incredible in so many ways. I was fortunate to view up close.

150 kph flat out
300 kph dive bomb
Tremendous speed
I wish someone will record a peregrine attack at 1000fps
indeed that the peregrine falcon absolutely got the speed..plus the fact that it knows how to use the gravity well..speed plus gravitational pull no wonder it can fly that fast, that no other prey could escape..only a miracle could save the prey..
Peregrine falcon is called Hayabusa in Japanese 💯
Pigeon after being caught by the peregrine falcon: welp, off to my death.

Awesome footage! That pigeon his minding his own falcon business!
Wow! What a predator. How they go that fast, and to see it on film is spctacular!
2022 and I'm still amazed by the cinematography.
Those are actually really cool. Scientists haven't figured out exactly what they do but the two most probably functions are either they work as a speedometer: the falcon uses air flowing over those nubs in their nose to measure how fast they're going...or that they actually work as a baffle to allow them to continue to breathe while diving at 200 miles per hour. Either way, they're very important to the ability of the falcon to go as fast as they do!
What a magnificent animal....truly amazing.
Imagine you’re in the Middle Ages, and you send a message to your girlfriend with this pigeon🤣🤣🤣
Perfect design for a rocket dive back to earth
Thank a lot
dang that falcon straight up no scoped that pigeon
I love how it talks about the Falcon recalibrating and then makes a sound similar to a gun 1:00
Don't get me wrong, peregrine falcons are amazing, and technically achieve the fastest speed for animals. But, they use gravity in free fall, and I don't think it's fair to say they are "faster" than other animals (cheetas, etc.) who have to propel themselves without gravity.
I had a chance to get so close to a male and female; in the wild.
What a wonderful experience that I will never forget!

Won't lie, the airplane sounds caught me off guard and made me laugh hard. But the peregrine falcon is a truly remarkable animal. Perfectly evolved for what it does.
Most lethal quickscoper ever
He has so big ballz
The reason it gets to be called the fastest animal is that, while many animals can reach these speeds while freefalling, no other animal can suddenly stop their decent, catch their prey, and fly away safely
The reason it's called the fastest is because it's the fastest. There's no other animal that free falls that fast.
400 km/h
That is just insane!

Just take up the sport falconry.
Do they really have to ham it up with dubbed-in Stuka noises?
1st he chase , 2nd he had enough term of " is about the go down"😂
Think about it for a second. The falcon gets its speed from gravity. It has a good iq over many birds. It understands that gravity will help it have it's way when seeking food. If other birds understood this they would be just as fast! And do the same thing!
+Jimmy Biggs No you idiot. If other birds were to do that, their lungs would blow up and they would die. The peregrine falcon has little cones in its nose that separate the air it takes in its lungs much like one on a jet engine. Do some research before saying something.
Jimmy Biggs Hmmmmm... Probably because you're too stupid
+Kevin Wang thatès called adaptation, even evolved animals like humans does that, itès a matter of what you put your mind into, and practiced, eventually you will nail it and so will your body execute the adaptation to that new practice. a simple example is the muscles.
but let me know if it needs further breaking down.
+Kevin Wang Lmao savage kevin
+King-C2K Chuol The cones within a Falcons nose is evolution not adaptation. It occurs over thousands of generations through various successful mutations. The falcons behaviour, i.e Going in to a stoop rather than a flat chase, is an adaptation. Adaptations occur in direct response to an environment/situation while evolution and mutation occurs on its own regardless.
Falcons wing size is built for speed , the size of the pigeon gives it the ability to flap side to side with much less effort quicker
200mph gonna faint me in a car :o
