@@R.N.GPerformance now the only thing they need to do is the size for the mosquito net and you’ll be set. The only thing is that here in Florida they only allow 2 tents in each site and a total of 8.
My husband sent me your video, I like what you did there, noice! We’re going camping in Oct and (I) want a different yet practical tent for our family to replace the one we have. And this set up is what I tried to describe to him what I wanted to create. Question, Did y’all figure out a solution for cool nights that works other than heater? Don’t want to have one running overnight with the littles (10-6) alone even with auto shutdown. So we’re thinking kerosene outside and having a heavy canopy curtains closed in Thanks for the video 🫶🏾
The new tents don’t have the vents up top. We actually stayed very warm we bought some sleeping bags off Amazon and man are they nice. I’ll give link below. This is a very nice setup and very cool for sure. amzn.to/3A6CV5Y
So I’m back lol, so what we did was add the canopy walls kept zipped for the most part, and were attached with each tent connected. We used 2 8 person & 2 4 persons tent. Kept out the wind & rain we got. The heater was inside the main area. We stayed warm as it got down to low 30s on our trip (went middle of October) This year we are going to get a the cut out for a chimney. Our family had so many other families asking for a “tour”. It was awesome having this setup to match my elite camping cooking set up. Thank You for the inspiration, happy camping
My sister and I both have the 10x10 canopy and this tent. So we camp together and put it together like this. I just bought screen curtains to add to it I can put it on two sides with or without my sister.
I was looking at potentially getting this set up but I can see there are gaps between the tent and canopy. Hard to keep the bugs out if u want the whole thing enclosed. I’m trying to figure that part out. Ty.
I have a ez-up and that thing is a TANK, its built very well, but its big and bulky and cant fit in my kia soul very easily. But the colmon is well built but smaller and lighter.
Do you think you could do, an enclosed square setup with a smaller canopy too? We have smaller kids and two dogs we camp with but are looking for something that will be long term until a camper becomes an option for us.
Waiting on a vid showing how you put it together. We just bought this tent with the 10x10 canopy and can't find videos about setting it up. Do you start by clipping it to the canopy first or stake it first? #New2TentCamping
This is probably a really stupid question but can you possibly put only one side up and not the other side? Like to only have a four person sleeper? Because we didn’t realize this festival won’t accommodate the L shape… so do you think there is any way to just leave the one side up or does it have to have both sides up? Thanks in advanced !
I have the 4 person ones. It can run down in front of the doors if you pull the tent too tight when you go to stake it down. It creates a slight gap. Just try not to pull too much. We also use a tarp for severe weather over the top as added protection
I have one and staying dry relies mostly on the quality of the canopy and the length of the side flaps. The longer the better. The canopy I originally got with this tent didn't pull down far enough and water POURED into the tent. The rain fly also didn't do great at keeping water out and I ended up using 4 bottles of seam seal and 8 cans of spray fabric waterproofing.

A lot of campgrounds couldn’t accommodate something this size. Take that into consideration before purchasing. Personally, I wouldn’t trust anything with an Ozark Trails label to keep me dry in a rainstorm.
Allot of off-road parks can accommodate something this size. This tent has been in many thunderstorms including 3 tornado I have a video showing it and it’s dry inside. Been a very good tent.
if only i had a group to go with, this setup looks awesome! great work
Thank you 🙏
I did this 6 years ago and still have my 10x20 double L-shape set up, I also have 2 of the single rooms and a wall.
@@delontayholmes5993 okay?

I love my 12x12 canopy but everything is made only for the 10x10. I feel that a new canopy and this may be in my future.
It’s a wicked setup.
Same here, bought the 12x12. I hate that there are no accessories for it.
I love it I have the same exact thing and I’m going to test it out with my kids and granddaughter when we go out camping next month

If you didn't know that vent you can reach out is designed to have a window AC in them for glamping

I agree 2 people is much easier.
great concept, you definitely an ideas man .. will you fit a U-Force 800 under the canopy parked for the night ?

Actually believe it or not we use this all the time and it’s not bad at all plus they come with screens you can put up.
I just ordered the one 8 person and a 4 person set up for my household for a camping trip .
Hey bro how is the ozark material and the zipper? Very good concept bro 😎 like it a lot

Hey buddy I haven’t had time to make a vid like that. But you clip it first then stake it.
I will say it’s very easy and super simple. Once you lay the tent out you will see

Both sides have to be up
They make a 4 person version of this tent
I have the 1st generation tent. It has red rain fly. I don't know why they switched to gray.
I’m not too sure
Does the rain run down the canopy in front of the tent doors?
Not that we noticed

I've found that a pool noodle between the bars of the canopy and the material keeps water from coming in!
