When Yassa Arafat was around they had a chance of a decent life but now they are done unless they hand over the nutters that started all of this.

@@poisonduckee thats only half of the history , the British need workers so they brought tausend of arabs in the country to work. The british Mandat takes a lot responcebility of this difficult situation.thats right, but they would never agree that they are the true colonialists and occupater. @@poisonduckeethe harsh reality for Palestinians is that they don’t really have a leg to stand on. There is nothing they have that the rest of the world values or wants. As horrible as it is that is why no government or country ever goes out of their way to help them. We live in a world where people only value money and power and not trying to help innocent people. For example Ukraine is a mass exporter of crops. That is why they got instant help and support, and also for the west to damage/hold back Russia. Israel is a strong ally of the west and the west basically controls world organisations such as the UN.

I'm an a old man but visited Lebanon in 1968 as a teenager with my parents. It was a rich, dynamic and peaceful paradise of the Middle East. The people there were incredibly friendly. Beirut was jammed with tourists. Food was great, the girls were stunning and there was a natural easiness about being there. My mom bought a bunch of jewelry. My dad played cards with new friends at the hotel pool. I wanted to live there.
A few short years later I saw pictures of the hotel we stayed at. It was completely destroyed by war.
That was Arafat's legacy. He sowed death and destruction everywhere he set up shop. He made the "palestinians" the most dreaded guests in the Arab world. He died a billionaire. His people still honor his memory. Go figure.

Some cultures are highly territorial, but not necessarily in such a way as Palestinians. For example, the Romans and Ottomans were very territorial, but they loved rules and laws. The Palestinians should learn to love rules and laws if they want to even last more than 3 generations or to conquer the land in the far future, which is still highly unlikely. When your culture has not matured to a level where you can make meaningful reasonable laws and follow them yourselves, bad characters within the culture will take advantage by imposing nebulous rules that really have nothing to do with the people's actual needs, identity, roots, lineage, or interests.
Such nebulous rules are like "religion" and such bad characters are like Hamas. The Israelis are not perfect but we all can see that they love laws and rules. While they have Judaism and staunch believers and even zionists, these characters do not rule them or define their constitution. A secular person in Israel can just follow laws and rules and co-exist alongside an Arab inside Israel without Jews hunting either of them. So, if I had a palestinian friend I would advise them to practice lawfulness and rule-following from the interpersonal level, family level, and community level.

I feel the same. The power hungry and wealthy leaders of any warring factions don't care about the actual ordinary people. They are either blinded by some insane religious belief system - this can apply to Israel and Palestine's zealots equally - or they are just power crazed and determined to hold onto that power and/or expand it. There are no "good guys" in this conflict, only men, women and children getting maimed and killed as a result of the insane blood and power lust of a few hundred leaders and their thousands of followers. Bottom line is, we can all protest and be disgusted at what is happening but coming up with a solution that satisfies the madmen at the top is beyond us poor average folk. We also don't need that bloodlust and craziness on our streets. Netanyahu is as bad as Hamas leadership, but they never suffer from their actions. Hopefully one day - long after I have gone - there will be some peace and justice for the ordinary people who are caught up in this hell. Another reason that Egypt won't allow Palestinian refugees into the Sinai Peninsula is because Hamas is the Palestinian offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood. The Egyptian military had to pull them from power following the Arab Spring, the Muslim Brotherhood was banned in Egypt and declared a terrorist group. [EDIT] to make things clear:
The surrounding Arab countries already have hundreds of thousands, if not millions of Palestinian refugees. They just cannot accept any more. They have no infrastructure or the capability to support that many refugees.
Israel & the US (not even the EU) keep talking about moving the Palestinian refugees to other countries. Whether you support Israel or not, I think we can agree that We DO NOT want a refugee crisis in the west or in any other country just so that Israel can have more land.
"Everybody who takes Palestinian refugees faces the consequences" That's true of any mass refugee crisis that are not processed properly for assimilation into the host country. It's happened in recent decade with Sudanese & Syrian refugees, and many times before. It's not special to Palestinians. This notion that Palestinian refugees are bad because Palestinian are bad people is plain racism.
      [Back to original comment]
Look, it's one thing to say "It's a risk for these countries to accept refugees because they can't be sure if there are PLO/Hamas among them"
It's another thing to say, like this video did, and suggest that Palestinians in general are dangerous and is a risk on their own. They're not. The majority of them (because there's more Palestinians outside of Palestine who can't even return) live fine as refugees in many countries around the world. Here's the rundown on how the surrounding countries mentioned positions on Palestinians are after the stated terror conflicts:
      1) Jordan, after expelling the PLO extremists from Black September into Egypt, still kept the rest of the refugees. They still have more than 2 million Palestinian refugees to this day, the largest out of any country. It's not that they won't take in any more, they can't take in any more.
      2) Kuwait & the Palestine Government (in the West Bank) have made peace years ago. They've since rolled back worker recruitment bans on Palestinians, and has since regularly donated millions to Palestinian aid. They even made an aid donation on the 8th of Oct because Israel wasted no time air striking civilian populations in Gaza.
      3) Egypt is just not equipped to take in 2million+ refugees. They're struggling as it is with internal affairs already. The suggested plan that keeps getting thrown around is to send them to Sinai. Well there's no infrastructure there to support that many people. You'd just be sending 2 million people to stay in tents in the desert. Egypt knows that those kinds of conditions will only lead to suffering of the refugee, which will lead to unrest. You see this happen in any mass refugee camp situation that isn't well equipped. Suggesting Egypt take in that many refugees is to ask them to willfully destabilize their country with a refugee crisis.

@@busterrooster1391 I mean that US media, the mainstream media, does not bring up these historical facts at all when discussing anything concerning middle east conflicts and state of affairs, which seems to be a very popular talk w/o any knowledge, in Universities campuses, when students go for pro Palestinian protests and say "from the river to the sea Palestine will be free" which river and which sea- ask them they cannot name them, because these people are simply ignorant.
Now there is another war between Israel and Palestinians in Gaza because of the October 7th massacre done by the Palestinians of Gaza (including the abduction of 241 Israeli civilians)- and all arab countries say "help our Muslim brothers in Gaza" but no one is willing to take any refugees even for a short period. Why? Because of the very history told in this video.

You are absolutely correct, however, you were a bit lite on the details of Lebanon. I am an ex Irish UN peace keeper of the 70s and 80s in Lebanon, and experienced them first hand. Not only did they sow unrest and cause a civil war. They also terrorised Israel from within Lebanon's borders, using missiles and children as suicide bombers. What kind of depraved individuals straps bombs to their 12yr old children. In the end due to lack of action by the Lebanese Government, Israel had no choice but to invade. Ex-navy guy here. It just isn't Palestines these Arab countries won't take in. It is any refugees. I was stationed at a communication center in the Middle East. Our job was to corrdinate the various intelligence operations by the US and collition allies (Europe and Middle East) and share data. I remember one day a British survelliance aircraft observed a small crowded refugee boat in distress. And they relaid this to us. My command then reached out to the various Middle Eastern countries to see if they could send assets to the area to intercept the refugees and bring them to their country. Nobody was willing to accept them. The British plane was taken off mission and was doing nothing but circles around this boat to monitor the situation. And when the Brits were running low on fuel, the US sent a plane to relieve them. Hours passed with a complete deadlock. Eventually night time came and the US plane had to leave. Next morning a plane was sent to the last known location of the boat and could not find them. There was no search and rescue operation. The sad thing is, less than a week later the same thing happened. Only it was a US surveillance plane that made the initial contact.
At the time I considered these actions to be heartless. But I also didn't know these countries' history with the various refugee groups either. And it wasn't that long ago where there was footage of a refugee ship landing in Greece and the scene was a bunch of young, combat aged males charging up the beach. Running to escape any chance of authorities capturing them upon their initial landing.
On a side note, back in the day (not sure if the Navy still does this) but we use to get annual training on human slavery and the sex workers. It went as far as to detail which criminal organizations were the primary operators in specific regions. And the Navy's response was to tell us, not to get involved. That we could not help them. If you reported it to the local police in whatever country we were in, the odds are the only thing that would happen is that we would make it worse for the people who were stuck in this forced sex trade. How would it be worse you asked? Well, the police would look at the victims as a problem they did not want to deal with. So instead of going after their handlers, they would process the victims as illegal immigrants and immediately deport them. And with that problem solved. But doesn't that get them away from the organization? Yes, but they get returned to their country of origin with no money or resources. And a family whose conservative values would reject them. (Not to mention being poor as hell and lack the resources to support a woman who would be viewed as having lived in sin.) The end result would likely be that those same women would then go right back to their handlers, beg forgiveness, and accept their punishment. And then go right back to doing what they did before. And yes, I'll be honest. I have met women who were effectively slaves and sex workers. Who would also tell you their life story if you kept paying for drinks so their handlers could at least see income from the over priced drinks. They accepted their life. They worked at night and had some level of personal freedom in the day. As to how much money they were able to keep from their actions I have no idea. And in case you are wondering about how this gets started, no the women weren't kidnapped. At least not in the strict interpretation. The organizations go out to impoverished areas with promises of house keeping jobs for women. And that they would be given a place to stay while in X country. The single, young women take them up on the offer. They are then legally sent to the country as a domestic worker. So they are taken to a person's home to be the housekeeper to discover that they are expected to live in that same house. And to be open to sex when the man of the house wanted it. When that runs its course the women then find that they are past their legal stay in the country and they are no longer virgins which is problematic for them if they return to their families. So they stay in the country and work as sex workers. And that is how the human slavery business worked in third world countries 20 years ago. No drugs. No kidnappings. No threats on family. Just promises of work and income that the girls couldn't get on their own and then chosing to stay in a bad situation with no good solutions.

I remember hearing these news stories as a kid growing up and wondering why there there was always so much unrest all over the Middle East -- but I never realized how it was all connected. It would seem the Palestinian insistence on blaming Israel for all their problems and their habit of allowing terrorists to lead/represent them and to pursue no goal other than the complete destruction of Israel is the actual cause of all their problems. And those problems create a lot of other problems for everyone else.

I recently met two Lebanese Jewish sisters who fled during Lebanon's late 70s civil war. Their father, a doctor, had roots in Lebanon for generations until violence, sparked by conflicts involving Palestinians, escalated. The violence initially targeted Christians, but then turned towards Jews, leading to the burning down of their homes, businesses, and schools. Tragically, during this turmoil, one sister's boyfriend was tortured to death. In the chaos, without cell phones, families scattered, struggling to find each other amidst the crisis. Additionally, their mother battled cancer during their escape from the country. They became refugees, but nearly 40 years later, they don't define themselves by that experience. Despite the hardships and displacement, they've managed to move forward. Their past in Lebanon is now a story they share among friends, rather than a defining focus. Both sisters have earned Ph.D.s in psychology.

If those sisters were Muslims, they would've blown themselves up trying to kill a few infidels.. Men get 72 virgins after death, women after death become virgins.. So them becoming virgins is the ultimate allahs gift to women.. This cult is just off the charts..

Yeah it's just these types of story retelling over and over and over again. It's like explaining the vastness of Pacific ocean through a single drop of water.. Great story real story... What's the solution? Did this change other people's lives other than your main people's lives in the story... Even if you tell me hundred lives of palestinians or Jews and how they changed from the past, the problem remains, how can that one simple story could change the ideology imbedded on the other hundred of millions or arabs around the world?
SURE You can make one whole plethora of biography on one person but It's still nothing in relevance on the current religious plight, nor of geopolitical significance. It's just putting single persons life on a small lens of microscope.

right. Here in Australia we ended up having a number of Lebanese refugees tot he point it became a really big problem and tensions escalated when there was violence between the young people. Finally a group of Lebanese boys attacked and murdered a local Australian girl and riots erupted. It took decades for the area to overcome the violence. In fact I'd go as far as saying that th Lebanese integrated and new refugees arrived for the society to hate upon. OH and the refugees I'm thinking of weren't Christian they were Muslim.

I remember reading an article in a magazine in a specialists office when I was very young, back around 1968. There was a series of elections for mayoral candidates in Palestinian enclaves in Israel. Only those candidates taking a hardline stance against Israel ended up running. Candidates with a moderate stance towards Israel were either pressured to withdraw or killed.

There are so many wrong and missing information that I don't even know where to start
1st of all gulf war between Kuwait and Iraq was in 1990 after the Jordanian events you mentioned and still most of the Palestinian were welcomed to Jordan, not to mention the PLO took the satnce with Iraq while outside Kuwait.
2nd there was no try to override the the government in Jordan nor Lebanon but fighting the Israeli from within these 2 countries welcomed conflict from Israel and caused the issues you mentioned.
3rd most Palestinian refugees were integrated into societies and each society that welcomed them as part of the citizens boomed economically and it can be shown by numbers
4th and most important most the border countries understand and against the ethnic cleansing Israel are committing and why would the Palestinian leave why don't the occupiers leave or in the very least I don't know stop killing them and imprisoning them

@@mishaelalmoghear1975hey, these are interesting points! I am not very educated on the gulf war and kuwait and that part of history of the palestinian people. can you share some sources or places i can read more about it?
as for why don't the occupiers leave - that has always been the plan. since the military withdrawal from gaza in 2005 the plan was to eventually transition into a full on two state solution as relations normalize. but relations never normalized and you dont need to go far to understand why.. maybe it has something to do with electing a terrorist organization whose charter from day one has been the destruction of israel and genocide against all jews. whats going on in Gaza is not ethnical cleansing... its a war to end Hamas with tragic civilian deaths as collateral damage. much of it is due to Hamas' evil use of its own civilians as human shields...

    • @mishaelalmoghear1975
      @mishaelalmoghear1975 ปีที่แล้ว

@YLivay well most of my knowledge comes from being a Palestinian born and raised and still living in Kuwait.
That would make me biased, I know, but it doesn't mean it's false.
As for the two states, I don't see either side working in that direction.
From the Palestinian side, even if the governments, namely Hamas and the PLO, accepted, I don't think the people who were driven out in 1948 and the wars after that would accept not return to thier original homes and wouldn't accept it's not the fault of the Jews born there.
As for Israeli side they never stopped creating new settlements nor did they ever give an inch of land without a fight, even after leaving Gaza it's not like they left them alone, they blockaded them and controlled all aspects of thier lives.

Israel has been refusing to allow Palestinian refugees back into Israel since the 1940s, well before Hamas and the PLO ever existed. He is ignoring the fact that expelling people over and over again can lead to increased terrorism. And ignoring the fact that Middle Eastern countries already know that Israel isn’t going to let them back into the country and fear that that Israel may even be expelling them in order to purposely get rid of the Palestinian population.

      There is no ‘Palestinian People.’
There was never a country of Palestine to have a people. Before Yasser Arafat invented the term, the Palestinian People, they were known as Arabs of the Mandate of Palestine.
A fairly small percent of the so called Palestinians are the descendents of Arabs from the Mandate of Palestine, themselves the descendents of Arab colonists.
A large percent are the descendents of Arabs that travelled to the Mandate of Palestine in the 1920s and 1930s to work for the British administration, to build the infrastructure that would serve the new independent Israeli state, and another large percent of the so called Palestinians are the descendents of the hundreds of thousands of Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood Arabs that Egypt forced into Gaza just before they cut Gaza off from Egypt, declaring it part of Palestine.
